Just work until you’re 80, then a million is plenty to get you through to either 90 or the first time you get sick.
- Comment on Do you cheat in video games? 2 weeks ago:
There was a game recently on a huge discount that had some great accessibility options. You could change how hard combat was, exploration, and resource scarcity. At least it would have been great if they did anything meaningful. Instead the base game was ridiculously hard, to the point that combat was nearly impossible, and even the easiest options only made it slightly possible. I guess the point was to force you into a certain stealth/no combat play style, but it was just done in a very unfun way. One of the few times I’ve actually refunded a game.

- Comment on The Video-Game Industry Has a Problem: There Are Too Many Games 2 months ago:
I’ve learned to be more careful with those hyped games. I don’t like souls likes or platformers, but black myth wukong and silksong are both massively popular. I saw enough comments claiming BMW “wasn’t a souls like” that I decided to give it a try. I’m sure there are some technical deviations from the genre to claim it’s its own thing, but fit me it was just a miserable waste of $60.

- Comment on Vibe coding has turned senior devs into ‘AI babysitters,’ but they say it’s worth it | TechCrunch 2 months ago:
Vibe coding is asking gpt for code, copying it into your code environment, then telling gpt about any errors or issues. The problem is that it actually works a significant amount of the time, let’s be generous and say 80%. Another 15% of the time it cannot solve a problem itself. And finally the worst possible outcome is the last 5%, where it creates a seemingly working solution that actually breaks on edge cases or has potential security issues.

How did you know? Really though I was looking at the picture in the article which is from similar technology about a decade ago.

“All seeing” except it’s using radar to evaluate typography and biomass. What am I missing that makes this “absolutely fucked”?

Atomic Heart was like that, too. Tons of difficulty options to customize your experience, but no matter what combat always felt like a punishment.

Black myth wukong would be so great with some difficulty options. I’m sure the rest of it story is great, but if I get stuck for a week on a boss I’m going to stop caring about that story.

This concept could work great with “combat” in the style of A Plague Tale. If you’re not familiar, the main character is a child. She has a few tools available to manipulate enemies and environmental hazards.
