- Comment on Farmers Hiding Bird Flu Cases in Cattle from the FedGov 14 hours ago:
So the USDA is now useless too? If they want approval to sell their cow stuffs the USDA should revoke their license unless they can enter their property to test.
- Comment on Google will use Gemini to detect scams during calls | TechCrunch 2 days ago:
the smallest version of Google’s Generative AI offering, which can be run entirely on-device.
It’s not known what information is sent to Google but they stated the calls are analyzed on the device and not sent to the cloud.

- Comment on Bird flu strain found in US cows flown to UK lab for testing 5 days ago:
Why are they taking a potentially deadly disease and fly it to another country? Do they want another pandemic?
- Comment on Germany just now approved new laws that make setting up solar on your balcony super easy 2 weeks ago:
We should be allowed to install cells on our windows too, if we can have curtains we should be able to have solar.
- Comment on Windows 11 will reportedly display a watermark if your PC does not support AI requirements. 2 weeks ago:
So MS is upping the required amount of RAM so now there is even less for my browser to hog. Here O was getting by with 32 gigs, guess it’s time to go for broke and get 128.

Does this stop phone companies from forcing 360p videos on mobile data or blocking me from using my mobile data as a hotspot at full speed?
- Comment on Gloves should be a requirement to keep in a glove box. 3 weeks ago:
If car manufacturers didn’t always include 500 page novels and put them in there then there might be room for gloves. If anything the glovebox should be called the manual-box

Probably something to do with charity or donations.

That’s nifty but I would have gone with recessed buttons those look painful to tap with the sharp corners.
- Comment on CWWK NAS mini-ITX motherboard features six SATA connectors, three 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports 5 weeks ago:
Few years ago I had a board with 10, can’t find any boards with that many anymore. Ended up with one with 8 plus two expansion cards to get me to the 13 drives I have currently with 3 spare for future expansion. Replacing my old 4TB drives with 12TB drives as my media hoard expands. Upgrade feature of radarr has been a blight on my storage. 😀
- Comment on CWWK NAS mini-ITX motherboard features six SATA connectors, three 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports 5 weeks ago:
Give me full ATX with 15 sata ports and I would bite. 10 HDD and 5 caching ssds. I would prefer full axt because with that many drives I would need a full case so might as well use a full board.
- Comment on Microsoft is once again injecting pop-up ads into Google Chrome on Windows in a bid to get people to switch to Bing 1 month ago:
USA companies don’t give a shit about antitrust anymore. Look at Amazon and Apple, the only places they get bit for their behavior are the European countries.

- Comment on Microsoft to end its Android apps on Windows 11 subsystem in 2025 2 months ago:
That doesn’t answer the question. Sure we will be able to use them past the cutoff date but do they have plans to remove the subsystem in the future through an update?
- Comment on Microsoft to end its Android apps on Windows 11 subsystem in 2025 2 months ago:
So they are not pulling the feature from Windows right? We will still be able to side load?
- Comment on Wyze says camera breach let 13,000 customers briefly see into other people’s homes 2 months ago:
For me it’s one less camera I have to run on my server that is already overwhelmed with the 12 other cameras that watch the outside. I have my wyze cams on sonoff minis that kill power to them unless I have my house set as away. I don’t need 247 recording of the inside just give me the option to peek in while away to see if anything is alarming.

- Comment on AI hiring tools may be filtering out the best job applicants 2 months ago:
LinkedIn used to say how many people applied to a job. Some jobs I would see said 1000s off applicants now they changed it and it says “over 100” that’s an indicator that the job market is shit now. Companies have to use something to filter that many applications.

- Comment on Wi-Fi jamming to knock out cameras suspected in nine Minnesota burglaries -- smart security systems vulnerable as tech becomes cheaper and easier to acquire 2 months ago:
I use a reolink poe doorbell camera. It’s a bitch to replace your doorbell wire with Ethernet but it’s really worth it for the zero lag and camera still working during a power outage because my server is on a UPS. plus the wires can be used for a traditional doorbell if I sell the house, I just pick a pair and power them.

And the us traffic safety board is refusing to test it’s crash rating because they don’t have to. It’s so fishy that this is a new stupid design and they don’t want to test it. Either Elon paid them off or they refuse to give it sell one to test. I have a feeling it would get a 2 out of 5 stars.
