I didn’t know you could do that. I’m in Taiwan and I know Steam doesn’t let you make a purchase without a local credit card. So I imagine that’s the case for Japan.

Basically what Gabe said.

This was before emulators were a thing. It was super early days of modding.

So a few years ago I wanted to play a Japanese version of a rhythm game that isn’t available to purchase in the USA and decided to try my hand at modding my switch for this one game.
After(poorly) doing it, I wasn’t able to play that game AND Nintendo bricked me. All my games on my switch that I purchased were unable to download or play anymore.
So I went and set out to mod my switch correctly.
Now if I actually wanted to give Nintendo money, they won’t allow me to. So my only option from then on is to pirate.
They basically turned a potentially paying customer to a non paying customer.

More stable, haha. I was just randomly surfing around and my computer goes to sleep and can’t wake up.
Also randomly, my computer won’t go into sleep mode when I close my laptop. It works about 90% of the time, but that 10% is when I pull my laptop out of my laptop bag and my computer is on fire and fans full blast trying to cool itself. The OS came from IBM installed.

Is it weird that I can see the patterns the instant it started repeating? I’m not sure if others can see, but there are flickers that happens at a pace that I can see that it’s repeating.
My wife can’t see it. I wonder if the rest of you can.

I have no idea engineered stones causes silicosis. Is it the manufacturing or the installation or the home owner getting too close to it that causes it?

Maybe. Nobody can prove it.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 5 weeks ago:
Obviously you don’t know what gen AI has become.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
Japan is country that has legal drawn cp. It’s available in physical store and online. Yet Japan is much lower than most developed country in the world in terms of actual sexual child abuse.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
So is that the Gen AI problem or the open internets problem. It sounds like you hate the open internet and awful people who put real cp online and not Gen AI.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
I mean, you’re not giving a very convincing argument.
- Comment on China launches military drills around Taiwan 1 month ago:
Seems like modern CCP is getting to that point now.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
But who is actually getting hurt? No kid has gotten hurt using Gen AI.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
Im not advocating for cp. I’m advocating for freedom.
A crime is only a crime if someone is negative effected. Gen AI is just a more accessible Photoshop.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
I don’t need to. It’s is just the way gen AI works. It takes images of things it knows and then generates NEW content based on what it think you want with your prompts.
If I’m looking for a infant flying an airplane, gen AI knows what a pilot looks like and what a child looks like and it creates something new.
Also kids face data doesn’t mean they take the actual face of the actual child and paste it on a body. It might take an eyebrow and a freckle from one kidand use a hair style from another and eyes from someone else.
Lastly, the kids parents consented when they upload images of their kids on social media.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
I agree it shouldn’t be accepted, but I disagree on being allowed. I think it should be allowed because it doesn’t hurt anyone.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
Japan has a vibrant drawn cp market yet they not not even close to the highest rate of child abuse. undispatch.com/here-is-how-every-country-ranks-on…
- Comment on China launches military drills around Taiwan 1 month ago:
Except it’s not. The original China government was not the ones who started the civil war.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
No cp should be acceptable. But I argue AI generated isn’t cp.
This is no different than someone cutting out a child’s head from a Target catalog and sticking it to a body on a playboy magazine and masturbating to it.
Or someone using Photoshoping a kids head to a pornographic photo.
It’s just a more accessible version of those examples.
At the end of the day, what you do in your own home is your thing. t’s not my business what you do. As long as it doesn’t hurt/affect anyone, go ahead.
- Comment on GenAI website goes dark after explicit fakes exposed 1 month ago:
Technically speaking, if you post images of your child on social media, you have consented. If you never uploaded an image of your child online, you never need to worry.
