They froze my entire account for 500usd. The rest of the 14500 was from other happy customers.
I use a regular bank for credit card services now and when there is something contested, it’s only for the charged amount that is held. Not my entire account.

I used PayPal for their credit card service.

Most small and medium businesses don’t have crypto. They use corporate P cards. So a business would call me if they launched something and the site tanked in sales. 2500 on their corporate card and their problem is fixed.
There is still a stigma for crypto.

Story time: I have a side business selling web optimization services. UX, AB testing, etc.
I got busy and didn’t take my money immediately after completing a few projects and one of my clients complained to Paypal about my service. My account was immediately locked and it took me at least 3 months to get access back to my account.
They basically had 15k of my money, interest free for them to play with even tho the contested amount was $500. I ended up just eating the 500 just to get access to my account, even tho the client is still using the improvements I made to their site.
So ya, fuck Paypal. Fffuuuucccckkk PayPal.

The self hosted model has hard coded censored content.

Untrue, I downloaded the vanilla version and it’s hardcoded in.

I guess I see small talk as gateway questions to deeper conversations. I met me wife by asking about the weather.

What’s your favorite color? Do you like hot wheels? Perhaps our definition of small talk differs from others. To me it’s a starting point to get into deeper conversations.

How do you get married to someone if you never started with small talk?

Web manager here. Don’t do this unless you wanna accidentally send google crawlers into the same fate and have your site delisted.

I know. That is why I said i regret not just naming him Jackson. It’s too late now. His passports and legal name in 2 countries are already set. It would be hell to change it now.

Ya people call him Ja Sin.

I named my son Jaxin because my wife wanted Jax and I didn’t want my son to have a dog’s name.
I regret not just naming him Jackson because nobody in Taiwan knows how to pronounce Jaxin.

I didn’t know you could do that. I’m in Taiwan and I know Steam doesn’t let you make a purchase without a local credit card. So I imagine that’s the case for Japan.

Basically what Gabe said.

This was before emulators were a thing. It was super early days of modding.

So a few years ago I wanted to play a Japanese version of a rhythm game that isn’t available to purchase in the USA and decided to try my hand at modding my switch for this one game.
After(poorly) doing it, I wasn’t able to play that game AND Nintendo bricked me. All my games on my switch that I purchased were unable to download or play anymore.
So I went and set out to mod my switch correctly.
Now if I actually wanted to give Nintendo money, they won’t allow me to. So my only option from then on is to pirate.
They basically turned a potentially paying customer to a non paying customer.

More stable, haha. I was just randomly surfing around and my computer goes to sleep and can’t wake up.
Also randomly, my computer won’t go into sleep mode when I close my laptop. It works about 90% of the time, but that 10% is when I pull my laptop out of my laptop bag and my computer is on fire and fans full blast trying to cool itself. The OS came from IBM installed.
