Is there precedent for something like this? I’m clearly just a regular dummy but I can’t think of anything similar ever happening in this country. To me, it just seems like a bureaucratic way of strong arming a sale.
- Comment on TikTok's CEO is feeling the pressure and users are freaking out 6 months ago:
I assume the US government wants to force a sale to a US tech company, no? Who would presumably profit from said successful app. Why not just outright ban it here? By kill I just mean make unusable. But you knew that, silly.

Iran might not be invading Israel anytime soon but they sure arent “trending towards peace” like you claim. You’re wrong about this one, and your anger betrays you here. It might shock you to learn that even at your age, you can still learn something, too. At least I know I’m uninformed and look for the truth instead of just spouting off bullshit with nothing to back it up.
- Comment on TikTok's CEO is feeling the pressure and users are freaking out 6 months ago:
Iran literally just sent drones into Israel. You haven’t been paying attention.
- Comment on TikTok's CEO is feeling the pressure and users are freaking out 6 months ago:
If you don’t think Israel “that interesting or important” to the US government, you haven’t been paying attention. full stop. This isn’t about Palestine, its always been about Israel. They send way too much money to us politicians, including the one in the white house, for it to not matter “in the grand scheme”. AIPAC money alone should be enough to convince you.
- Comment on TikTok's CEO is feeling the pressure and users are freaking out 6 months ago:
Why not just kill the app then instead of asking for divestment? Why do they still need it?

The Tik Tok ban is about keeping big tech in the hands of the USA. Are my account stats better for you?

Alot of states in the US have like the opposite of pro rated minimum wage where they actually are paid less than minimum wage because they earn tips.
So like a waitress earns $2.75/hour as opposed to $10/hour because she might make that up in tips within the hour. That’s the thought anyways.

- Comment on Amazon Prime Video won't offer Dolby Vision and Atmos on its ad-supported plan | The company is now facing a lawsuit over its decision to charge $3 more for ad-free viewing. 9 months ago:
Same, just cancelled today, as well. I don’t buy nearly enough stuff on Amazon anymore to justify the free shipping, the prime video app is fine enough, but if I have to pay more for HDR/surround, well the line has to be drawn somewhere.

This sounds highly specific and not indicative of most people’s renting experience lol I’ve never heard of anything like that in my life. Ive been renting since 08

Careful, you’ll get the tankie label for posts like this around these parts

Why not just find a nice apartment? I’m not trying to be a jerk here or anything, but if owning a home puts you out that much, why not just keep renting?

The emergency features are free, they want you to pay for in-car wifi. You also cannot cancel online and have to cancel with a rep over the phone. The service itself is fine, but dealerships requiring you to sign up “even if you aren’t going to use it” isn’t .

I got an email from OnStar the other day saying it contacted my bank and updated my card info because I had gotten an old card and hadn’t updated the info, I don’t pay for OnStar but the dealership MAKES you set it up even if you don’t use it.
How the fuck are they allowed to contact my bank and get information like that? Weirded my TF out to say the least.

I have a sim race setup in my living room and play ACC and compete in iracing events. That being said, you’re not going to tell me Burnout Paradise isn’t fun. It serves a purpose. I don’t go into it looking for ACC level brake temperatures or tire wear, i go into it to drive 150mph around corners and smash into other cars.
