- Comment on Microsoft confirms Windows 11 is about to change massively, gets enormous backlash - Neowin 2 weeks ago:
I am (was) a Windows user of 30 years and Windows 11 was the final straw for me. I’ve been playing around with Linux for 15 years but have only used it for my servers, as I never felt the desktop environment quite met the requirements as my daily driver.
One year ago, I made the switch, decided to power through and leave Windows behind. I was prepared to let go of the things that would not work on Linux and learn to live without them. Now, a year later, I have managed to migrate all my stuff to Linux. Sure, there are somethings I miss, but those are mostly aesthetics and not functionality.
And you are absolutely right! I’m pissed at Microsoft and have no plans to ever switch back.
- Comment on Microsoft still can't convince folks to upgrade to Windows 11 2 months ago:
Me too. Had been wanting to switch to linux for some time and Windows 11 gave me the final push and it went a lot smoother than expected.

WTF. Just sit in the sink like a normal person.
- Comment on How to combat large amounts of Ai scrapers 4 months ago:
some of those AI crawlers are actually not crawlers, but actual users who just use AI instead of coming directly to the site. Soo… blocking AI completely could also potentially reduce exposure.
Normally, websites want users to come to their site, instead of an AI search engine “stealing” the content and presenting it as it’s own. Yes, AI search engines are more convenient for the user, but in the end it will discourage website creators and thereby cut of it’s own “food supply”.

Well, that explains Windows 11.
