There’s usually a long explanation for these types of things which most of the time boils down to “because that’s how people have been saying it and it’s become the norm.”
Many linguistical mistakes have been overused to the point of them changing their meaning. Take “decimation”. It used to mean to kill 1 in every 10. Because it sounds cool and has been used in a lot of media, it now mainly means to kill or destroy a large part of something.

So that means that for the most part it’s only stupid questions being asked here?

Yeah, that could be true. But seeing as how 99% of companies are following the same business model of squeezing more and more profit out of people, I’m gonna go with Occam’s razor on this one and say they’re most likely just trying to make more money because they can. As long as it keeps working, they’ll keep doing it.

There was a post a few days about a tool to measure pasta and it was like a ruler with the holes in it in the shape of a kid, a man and a horse.

Lmao, really? Had my fair share of weirdos, but never drunk or high. At least not that I could tell.
- Comment on Screw Uber! 2 weeks ago:
I think they mean that’s for the client. I’d rather my driver not be drunk and high, cool as it may be.

Sure, those are relatively conservative countries (but some are even more imo: I’d argue Greece is more conservative than many of those. Same for Serbia. Italy’s got a far right government even but is less conservative in other regards)
And Romania and Slovakia I’m pretty sure would never side with the conservatives.
On top of all that, that’s not gonna happen. To me at least it sounds like the most far fetched prediction. By far.

By conservative eastern Europe you mean russia/belarus?

Lol! yeah! What sort of nerd do you have to be to enjoy card games? And sports games? Like, go outside, brah. When I get my game on, it’s usually CoD on my Xbox. Headshot after headshot, teabag after teabag. It’s just something else, you know? Not something you can get by playing a card game or some rts or something where someone else is doing the shooting for you… Like… Get some skill brah.
/s … Pfew… That was hard to get through… sorry about that, couldn’t help myself

I never once claimed to know what he did. I’m pretty sure I didn’t even state what I believe. I only stated what the judge said. And the judge said he raped her.
- Comment on How does South Park get away with trashing identifiable people? Are they sued often? 5 weeks ago:
I don’t particularly care what the legal system calls something that’s pretty much impossible to prove. And I don’t understand why you’re using my words as if it’s legally relevant. I’ll quote the article, because I don’t think you’ve read it: “A judge has now clarified that this is basically a legal distinction without a real-world difference.”

This is what I was going off of. Sounded to me like rape. I’m no lawyer tho.
- Comment on How does South Park get away with trashing identifiable people? Are they sued often? 5 weeks ago:
No, the fact that a judge ruled that he raped someone is what protects one from a defamation suit. At that point you’re just quoting the judge
- Comment on Why do Americans measure everything in cups? 5 weeks ago:
Look, it’s like this…
Method 1: you get a bowl and put it on the scale. You then dump everything into it or you get a new bowl for each ingredient if you need to keep them separate.
Method 2: you get a bowl and a cup. You measure into the cup and dump the stuff in the bowl then wash the cup and then you measure the next thing then you wash again and so on.
Sometimes washing isn’t needed, sure. But you still put stuff in the cup then move it rather than putting jt directly in the bowl.
With spoons it’s even worse because for spices, for example, many of them (at least here) come like this so spoons don’t fit…so good luck pouring out of it and into a spoon and not making a mess
- Comment on Why do Americans measure everything in cups? 5 weeks ago:
US pint* which is 473 ml. Not to be confused with the UK pint, which is 568 ml.

Only if you have cup sized cups. Otherwise it’s just gonna throw your ratios off

That’s true, but unless you plan on being somewhere with no electricity or power banks for a while that’s not really an issue. You take it off and charge it while showering and once you’re out it’s good to go
