This. I didn’t (and still don’t) need groundbreaking gameplay for Episode 3. I just wanted an ending to the plot.

So this is the idiot we have to blame for the ugly and annoying camera bump. Sad that it seems like there is no going back to a phone with a good design. Camera bumps are awful and not worth the tradeoffs.
- Comment on Google’s head of Pixel 9 design won’t apologize for its big, beautiful camera bump 2 months ago:
Cases do not hide or offset camera bumps.

Ah ok. I thought they were different. I actually just listened to a podcast the other day about electric vehicles, and the guest expert mentioned wanting about them being a NA standard, European standard, and Tesla. Maybe I just misunderstood him.
- Comment on Tesla to lay off everyone working on Superchargers, new vehicles 6 months ago:
Is that because the automotive industry decided to go with the North American standard for rapid chargers instead of Tesla’s? If so, while heartless, it makes sense from a business standpoint.

- Comment on Is TV Dead? Global TV Shipments Hit a Decade Low in 2023 8 months ago:
Go back to selling “dumb” sets and I’d buy 4 brand new, big TVs right now. Seriously, I would replace both of my existing TV’s and finally get ones for the other major rooms in my house almost immediately. But I won’t, because all you can get now are smart TVs and smart TVs are just fucking awful.

Usability is not just about customizability. Compatibility and ease of troubleshooting and remedying issues are also majorly important, arguably more so than customization.
- Comment on What are the best Samurai period games? 8 months ago:
Ghost of Tsushima. PS5 only for now, but it’s coming to Steam (finally!) in May. It’s an amazing game. Great story, extremely good combat, and it looks beautiful. Plus it has a separate coop multiplayer mode that is better than some dedicated multiplayer games. Don’t skip it.
- Comment on Gemini WONT SHOW C++ To Underage Kids "ITS NOT SAFE" 8 months ago:
I’ve seen this sentiment in a few places recently, and as a software engineer with 20 years of experience I can say with 100% certainty that this is a terrible (and dangerous) trend when it comes to programming.
Undergrads should absolutely be learning how memory works, how to allocate it, when to free it, and what issues you can get into when you don’t do it properly. Sheltering them from such things will lead to a more ignorant generation of developers, which will lead to a lot of headaches down the road, for everyone.

And it has an actual endgame, leaderboards, and it’s half the price of Diablo 4. It’s a no-brainer IMO.

Having not played the first game at all, this trailer looks even more ridiculous (in a bad way) than the first one did. The graphics certainly look amazing though.

1000 hours? Really? BG3 came out 153 days ago, which means you would have spent, on average, 6 and a half hours a day every day since then playing just that game. I’m not saying you’re lying… but I kind of am? (if true, seek help)
Regardless, what you said is true. BG3 offers so many options that each playthrough is so drastically different, the replayability is as close to infinite as any story-based game has gotten IMO. It’s kind of amazing the game works at all, let alone works as well as it does.

- Comment on Original God of War trilogy remaster rumoured to be on the way 10 months ago:
I’m not bothered by it, in general, especially when the graphics of the older games are low-rez and “cartoony” by today’s standards. But, much like how I don’t like rewatching Oberyn vs The Mountain in Game of Thrones, I don’t relish the thought of watching Kratos do similar things in high def. It all depends on the kind of remaster that may happen. If it’s just a resolution bump and some better lighting I’ll be fine.
- Comment on Original God of War trilogy remaster rumoured to be on the way 10 months ago:
I really enjoyed those games back when they came out, and I don’t mind the idea of a remaster in general… but I really don’t want to see certain scenes from those games in HD with remastered models/lighting. Some of them were absolutely brutal, but they were tolerable due to the “gamey” graphics.
