“No experience with said metaphor”, we tried to help you
If you can’t figure out what we’re talking about with a thread full of context then I don’t know what to tell you. Either way, you can take a lesson learned here or not, I don’t particularly care anymore.

If you don’t care about the metaphor what the heck are you doing in this conversation

People were trying to gently educate you on a metaphor and you decided anything pre-internet is a requirement. Then you keep talking about your lived experience when you got it wrong. Then you attack people when they said they’re not going to do work for you and if you want info you can look it up yourself. You got some real boomer energy my guy/gal.

Honestly, people have given you examples. If you want examples from pre-internet then you should do some work yourself to find it.

- Comment on How does Netflix, HBO and other services get their subtitles? Are they now using AI to help translate? 4 weeks ago:
I guess it depends on the subtitle type? I know some are just the spoken audio and some are descriptions of side conversations/surrounding noises. That said I’m one of those that reads faster than hearing but that’s due to bad hearing and my brain trying to figure out what it heard is slower than reading/hearing combined. Or even sometimes the subtitles are a bit fast so I’m still about even.

Had a manual 2016 Mazda 3. Took a bit to find it with all the options I wanted but it was available at the time.

It wasn’t software though. It was an immobilizer chip, which is hardware, that they didn’t put in the car. They cheaped out on a part, sure, but it wasn’t faulty nor was it software.
