Check out the book/audiobook Arc of A Scythe, it’s about this.
- Comment on DOOM: The Dark Ages Has Reportedly Sold Less Than 1 Million Copies 4 days ago:
I’m avoiding it because it just doesn’t look that fun. I played the last 2 new dooms and they were good, for console shooters. More PC gamers should have higher standards than this. I don’t want a dumb story about medieval times, collecting dolls, linear maps, cyberdragon mounts, running from arena to arena and then starting repetitive wave fights. Just make a good shooter please!

Never heard of this. Sounds useful, except I’m really only buying something from them because I need it quickly most of the time. I don’t have the convenience of waiting for price drops like I do with Steam games haha. Thanks for sharing!

Fakespot was kinda nice, whenever I looked at something on amazon I’d get a sidebar showing which reviews are real and summarizing them. It’s actually pretty useful. Definitely will not miss Pocket.

- Comment on I'm a console gamer so, Why the hate on the Epic Games Store? 1 week ago:
I don’t like the Epic Game Store because Epic has turned it’s back on Linux. Their client doesn’t run on Linux which is where I do all my gaming. I also recognize the economic fuckery they’re doing to gain popularity. They’re spending their Fortnite war chest money on subsidizing games to give them away for the purpose of monopolizing their game store. It’s not fair for other game stores like GOG who can’t just buy game licenses for everyone to become popular.
I hate console gamers as they’ve perverted the FPS genre.

I use FreeFileSync and it syncs whatever files I point at it, not just videos and music. I installed it from the Play store.
- Comment on Loving Doom The Dark Ages, only one issue I've had so far. 2 weeks ago:
For others reading, Hulshult is also great! These other soundtracks aren’t as iconic as Doom but still absolute bangers.
- Comment on Loving Doom The Dark Ages, only one issue I've had so far. 2 weeks ago:
I heard Mick Gordon was fucked over by Bethesda where they had someone else finish the music that Mick started. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mick wasn’t involved in this one. I’m not buying this Doom because it looks bad. Bethesda sucks.

Sounds like you already have one. Samsung phones are pretty bad though.

I made a rule that I can’t spend over $10 on a game until I’ve played through my entire backlog. I haven’t bought a game over $10 in 10 years and I’ve spent $6k on Steam since I started using it.

Honestly it was a good game for a console port. Really enjoyable and fun although the multiplayer was DOA.

I know they’re not for everyone, but Smart Cars are actually devoid of Smart as in IOT. If you’re not huge, get in one and try it out. I have a gas one and it’s my favorite car ever, and I last drove a Porsche Boxter. They’re fast enough, sip gas (or electricity I’m sure) and are so easy to drive. The turning radius is like 90 degrees and it’s so nice having the front of the car stop where your feet are instead of a giant protruding hood. They’re very cheap too and they’re made by Mercedes so it’s easy enough to get them worked on.
- Comment on What are some old games that are hard to revisit, because a more modern and superior version exists? 2 months ago:
Starcraft! I really think Starcraft Brood War is a better, more balanced game. The quality of life changes in Starcraft 2 make it so hard to go back to playing Brood War. I don’t know if I can adjust back to only selecting a lot amount of units or needing to click on each building to build stuff or not having smart-casting and good pathing.

Same, I grew up on Unreal and Epic sucks now so I don’t install their shit. They really shit on Linux while Valve has invested big time, so I don’t install epic game store. I don’t have a windows install anymore.
