Depends where you’re from. Present Perfect is fine in this context.

The right is too angry to listen, and the left is too arrogant to listen.
To listen to what?

He tested it with multiple similar objects.
- Comment on [Serious] Any high-quality right-wing media, books, explainers? 1 week ago:
There are many left-wing people who were for leaving the EU, so I wouldn’t use that as a measuring stick of left/right.
His voting record is something he has covered; a lot of these votes which make him seem particularly bad (I’m not a big fan of his, despite having read The Place In Between - before I knew who he was - and Politics on the Edge) but from times when people were whipped or ‘encouraged’ to vote a particular way. We found out what happened when he did go against the whip, with even Nicholas Soames feeling that wrath.
- Comment on [Serious] Any high-quality right-wing media, books, explainers? 1 week ago:
He isn’t really right wing though, he is from a different Tory faction which failed to tap into much of any power in the past few governments. Politics on the Edge gave good insight into his time as an MP and his roles during the period, but he didn’t justify or go into much detail about what being on the right (centre right for him, really) truly means.
- Comment on Why people are boycotting Asus all of a sudden? Asus outrage explained 1 week ago:
They’ve been shit for quite a few years. Overheating laptops made me vocally against them after the fifth repair/replacement.

Aye, I used Ubuntu back when I was working retail, as I’d put it on units which didn’t have Windows licences.

The Virtual Boy too, I forgot about that.

It’s very odd, I’ve had the weirdest downvotes.
- Comment on The Sega Dreamcast 3 weeks ago:
Genesis was a surprise smash hit…then Sega just spewed out consoles; 32x, Sega CD, mega drive, Saturn… Probably more. In that same time span Nintendo released…N64.
Nintendo had the SNES, N64, N64 DD, GameBoy Pocket, Colour, Advance, etc.
Build a winner, milk it. Release another winner right as the previous one is winding down. Nintendo has mastered that formula.
Every other generation; they’ve not been consistent in their success. The N64 did quite well, the GameCube was okay, the Wii did great, the Wii U did not, the Switch has done very well, I reckon the next won’t.

They said that with the release of the M1 Air.
- Comment on Apple keeps flogging 8GB of RAM for its Mac computers but it's still a dead horse 3 weeks ago:
That doesn’t make sense. I have the 8GB M2 and don’t have any issues with 20+ tabs, video calling, torrents, Luminar, Little Snitch, etc open right now.

- Comment on Been playing FF7 Rebirth (35 hours in) and really not enjoying it. Does anyone else feel this way? 3 weeks ago:
I felt similar about the Remake, it was… Just lacking something. I never played the original so my connection wasn’t so strong, I just expected more.
- Comment on Apple argues in favor of selling Macs with only 8GB of RAM 3 weeks ago:
We both have 8GB Airs in our house, an M1 and an M2. They run just fine.

Jamboard also, which a lot of my students still use at school.

Right, but it’s not normal outside of beaches.
- Comment on When did breasts become a thing that needed to be concealed in public and why? 4 weeks ago:
Can but it’s still not normal or typical.
- Comment on My opinion on Bone conduction earphones 4 weeks ago:
Thanks. I’m tempted as in and over ear headsets would be less preferable than something which rests outside. I still have another year and a half of teaching online so this would be a decent quality of life upgrade.
