Good production value and very faithful to the original as far as I remember it. It got a few chuckles out of me ; I think I’m in for the ride.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Steam, PS4/5, Xbox One/Series)
Pretty original mix of brawler and tower defense, with a presentation reminiscent of Okami. Avaiable on Game Pass and has a demo on Steam.

SteamWorld Heist II (Steam, PS4/5, Xbox One/Series, Switch)
Like its predecessor, it’s basically “2D XCOM with skill shots instead of randomness”. Highly recommended, perfect for gaming on the go with a Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch.
- Comment on Random Screenshots of my Games #2 - Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 1 month ago:
Phenomenal game, if a bit short. And another impeccable PS5 to PC port from Nixxes.
- Comment on What are some game series you would like to see revived? And if possible, which entry should the new game follow from? 2 months ago:
Nostalgy drive engaged !
The Crusader series (No Remorse, No Regret) could have been built upon, with its famously cheesy live-action cutscenes.
The Quarantine series disappeared after its second installment, Road Warrior. Come to think of it, most mainstream vehicular combat games went away, like the Interstate series.
The Discworld adventure games (1, 2, Noir) were famously convoluted, but they did a pretty good job of adapting Pratchett’s world into video games.
Finally I would have liked to play the initially planned sequels to Advent Rising. I have (probably rose-tinted) fond memories of that game, but hey, you asked.
- Comment on Gearbox founder says Epic Games Store hopes were “misplaced or overly optimistic” 2 months ago:
The Epic Games Launcher is so far behind on features compared to Steam it’s not even funny. Epic chose not to try and compete with Steam on that front and to try and force users onto the platform with exclusivity deals and sweeten the deal with free games.
The one user-centric killer feature Epic has in their stack IMHO is the built-in multiplayer crossplay. Except it’s not even exclusive to their store ironically (you do need an Epic account for it though).
- Comment on Can anyone suggest some good co-op games for two people? 2 months ago:
Since you enjoyed BG3, I’d strongly recommend Divinity: Original Sin 1&2 if you have not played them already.
Other than that, a few random suggestions with sizeable coop campaigns:
- Outriders
- The Ascent
- Remnant 1&2
- Resident Evil 5&6
- Saints Row 3&4
- Trine 1-5
- Valheim
- Comment on Do you still play couch coop nowadays? Which games do you recommend? 3 months ago:
A bit of an acquired taste, but the entire Earth Defence Force series can be played split screen (2P only). The best entry point into the series is EDF 5 (story reboot, QoL tweaks) which is often deeply discounted. Plus its direct sequel EDF 6 just released in the west last month
- Comment on What have you played this week? 3 months ago:
I did multiple playthroughs, over ~150h. I do not expect to return to it, now that EDF6 is out. It reaaaaaally resembles EDF5. From what I have seen thus far, it could be called an “expandalone”. There is much more difference between EDF4.1 and EDF5 than EDF5 and EDF6
- Comment on What have you played this week? 3 months ago:
It’s really good but like 30% too long for my taste. I had to push myself forward to complete it.
- Comment on What have you played this week? 3 months ago:
Played daily dose of Helldivers 2 and some EDF6. Finally completed Talos Principle 2. Gave Suicide Squad a try. Returned a bit to Trine 5 here and there

Because Google is eating the monumental costs of hosting and delivering video content. The cost of maintaining client apps is negligible in comparison. YouTube is not going anywhere unless Google deems it so, or enshittifies it enough to drive users away.
- Comment on Konami is intent on region locking Japanese players out of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 4 months ago:
Bottom line: Konami is a weird company making odd calls and has been for a long time. Someone in charge likely decided 11 years ago that MGRR should not be released on PC in Japan and that’s all there is to it.
- Comment on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - Gameplay Overview Trailer 4 months ago:
NGL, I’m really digging what they are showing in this marketing campaign.
- Comment on EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6 - Release Date Trailer 6 months ago:
Story-wise EDF 6 is a sequel to 5, which was a reboot. The in-game ridiculous storytelling through radio communications is part of its charm, I find.
- Comment on SteamWorld Heist 2 - Official Reveal Trailer 7 months ago:
Oooh I really liked the first one. Slept on it for years then played it on Steam Deck. It was a perfect game for a portable gaming system.
- Comment on What are y'all buying on the steam sale? 8 months ago:
I’m on the fence about Arizona Sunshine 2. I understand it’s quite short relative to its price. I might wait for a deeper discount.

- Comment on LocalSend - Share files to nearby devices 9 months ago:
I have been using it for the last ~6 months and found it to be very useful and easy to use. Transferring stuff between Android phones, Windows 10 & 11 PCs and a Steam Deck (i.e. Linux PC) has been a breeze.
- Comment on Should you Stay Technical as an Engineering Manager? 9 months ago:
I’ve been an engineering manager myself for the last 10 years and one thing I have also found is that I still like doing hands on stuff. You have to manage your own motivation, not just that of your team(s), regardless of what the “ideal way” to spend your time looks like in your environment.
Sure as a manager you have to plan, communicate, go to meetings, handle conflicts, prioritize tasks and so on. When all is said and done, keeping a slice of time doing what originally got you in the engineering business in the first place, might be just the thing that keeps you going.

My playthrough lasted 8.5 hours and was well worth experiencing.
- Comment on Best games that can be completed in under ten hours? 10 months ago:
Took me five hours start to finish. Not rushing but not trying very hard to find secrets either.
Perfect game pass game that one.
- Comment on [Steam] Which lesser known games have you bought or are planning to buy in this sale? 10 months ago:
I bought The Making of Karateka. Not exactly a game, more like a playable documentary (akin with Atari 50 anniversary collection).
- Comment on [Steam] Which lesser known games have you bought or are planning to buy in this sale? 10 months ago:
Aragami 2 is more coop-friendly than the first game, but not as good overall.
- Comment on Best games that can be completed in under ten hours? 10 months ago:
Ordered-ish by recommendation:
- SUPERHOT (it’s the most innovative shooter I’ve played in years)
- Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
- Sayonara Wild Hearts
- Carrion
- Planet of Lana
- Jusant
- The Artful Escape
- The Gunk
- Comment on What games did you complete this year? 11 months ago:
Here goes mine roughly ordered by date of completion:
God of War (PC): Excellent action game all around. You can see where all that AAA budget goes.
Doors: Paradox (PC,): Charming indie puzzle game, easy and chill.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection (PC,): Finally an Uncharted game playable with mouse and keyboard.
The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos - Back to the Futon DLC (PC,): Expansion-sized DLC, more of the same and brings the story to a close.
The Division 2 & Warlords of New York (PC): Full 3 player co-op campaign and expansion playthrough. Not a huge fan, but enjoyable with friends.
Half-Life: Alyx (PC, Valve Index): My second full playthrough. Still amazing, still the very best PC VR has to offer.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits (PC): Beautiful and bittersweet. Not too hard but some optional challenges are.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Switch): Went in without much hype, and spent 200h over 2 months going at it. A strange case where the expansion is bigger and better than the base game 😉
Risk of Rain 2 (PC): Managed a couple successful runs in co-op then stopped. Roguelikes are not my thing, but co-op games are.
Planet of Lana (Xbox): Short and sweet puzzle platformer. Not high fidelity visuals but quite nice nonetheless.
Ratchet and Clank 2016 (PS4): Played this anticipating to play Rift Apart later on. Very good for a newcomer to the franchise like me.
Remnant 2 (PC): Excellent sci-fi Souls-like with very good replayability. Great both in solo and co-op (did ~2.5 playthroughs).
Guild Wars 2 Secrets of the Obscure (PC): Fourth expansion for this 11-year old MMORPG. Best in the genre as far as I am concerned.
Cyberpunk 2077 (PC): Been waiting for years until I heard the game was finally “finished”. Still encountered some jankiness but a compelling and memorable experience nonetheless.
Marvel’s Spider-man Remastered (PC): Had it on PS4 already for the kids for a couple of years, bought it again on PC on sale to get the best experience.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart (PC): Gorgeous and bombastic fun, strongly recommend. Surprisingly it’s a sequel of the main series, not of the 2016 reboot.
Jusant (Xbox/PC): Kind of a vertical walking simulator. Eerie and original, does not overstay its welcome.
Dead Space 2023 (PC): Had bounced off the original pretty quickly back in the day. This remake got me hooked all the way to the end.
Endless Dungeon (PC): Odd mix of action rpg, tower defense and roguelike. Not that great, but its co-op support picks up the slack.
Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales (PC): Not as good as the original in my opinion, but tighter and shorter.
Operation Tango (PC): Co-op only short and unusual first-person puzzler.
Also, I will likely be done with Resident Evil 2 2019 and Cocoon before the year is over.

- Comment on The Anacrusis IGN Review (4/10) 11 months ago:
Yes the issue with these L4D clones is that they have to improve upon the L4D formula, or have an interesting take on it. Vermintide and Payday succeeded on their own merits even though the core gameplay loop is very close (and it took each of them two games to get there).
I have tried both Back 4 Blood and the Anacrusis (in early access), and was pretty much over them after a couple of rounds.
- Comment on You'll be able to play Remnant 2's new DLC with a friend who has it, even if you don't own it yourself 1 year ago:
Good business decision right there I think. Akin to how Vermintide does DLC too.
