Oh interesting, thanks! I figured out the hashtaga bit but a lot of fun popped up without the hashtaga etc.
I suppose I’ll just keep muddling along and figure something that works for me while trying to be a net positive influence!

Tried it last night for a hockey game. I still think I’m not using it correctly but people were nice.

The world would also just be a happier and better place with another season.

Musk aside, it looks so goddamn stupid, I’d be embarrassed to drive around in it regardless. Like a cheap 80s movie version of what a futuristic car would look like.
And as Others have noted, why would you want a truck that looks like it can carry less stuff than a motorcycle can?

First, thank you!
There’s a website that’s kind of helpful:
Basically, digital stuff is probably the easiest. And as others have pointed out, visiting helps!

Feeling is incredibly mutual.
Why on Earth would we want to get rid of our healthcare, adopt terrible American schooling results, lower all our safety standarda and flood our streets with guns?
Everytime I visit America it looks like you just lost a war, I don’t want that here.

If you talk at all like you’ve written, I would treat you like a child too.
Maturity has nothing to do with your calendar age.
- Comment on I cannot tell you a way my life has genuinely gotten better since the advent of "smart" phones. 5 weeks ago:
Look, are there downsides? Absolutely.
But, just thinking about the few days for Christmas:
Buddy and I were out and making plans to swim. Using our phones we found out what time the pool was open, then found out whether there was bbq nearby. We then added this to our calendars. All at thr same time without having to go home, look it up, coordinate then write it down.
The next day, I got groceries. I used my grocery app which also contains a couple hundred recipes I’ve collected. The grocery store had a great deal on something I hadn’t expected so I pivoted, used my phone to look through my recipes, found an appropriate one and adjusted.
Later, running errands on my bike and finished a bit early. On a whim, I checked to see if a movie I wanted to catch was anywhere near. It was but not in an area I bike often. Booked my tickets on the phone, navigated there and streamed music to listen to as I rode.
Heck, when I visited for Christmas, a friend sent a message warning the ferries to come home were getting cancelled. I checked while we were out at dinner, found the last ferry was still running and had space so was able to make it home instead of getting stranded.
Outside of this week, I’ve dated a bunch of girls whom I’d have never met were it not for “the apps.” Say what you will, it expands the network of dateable folks well outside your own social networks.
In summary: streaming music everywhere, all sorts of apps making things easier (in this case, recipes etc) navigation, making plans on the fly, dating all sorts of folks, booking things without having to find a computer and way more.

I mean, just reading that question as one long run on sentence certainly didn’t make me think of you as an adult.
Also, might be a language thing, but buddy has almost no age connotations and is used pretty frequently across age groups.
- Comment on When someone ask if you are watching Trek porn parodies. 2 months ago:
I gotta admit, I don’t know my trek as well as most of you. Might have seen this as a kid but looking at the non porn Unification, Stephen Root AND Leonard Nimoy? I might have to watch this and uhhh, any full length unedited sequels, authorized or not.

- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
I hope you’re right! I’m used to these kids online “Oh, I’d kick your ass” etc but threats of violence against republican and democratic leadership is spooky because there’s always that small chance that it’s actually an unhinged adult instead of an edgelord teen.
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
If you’re an adult saying that violence is the only solution because people don’t agree with you, that’s fucking terrifying.
Honestly, no trolling, if that’s what you sincerely believe to your core, there are all sorts of therapists. If you are an adult, odds are you have some sort of coverage that will help fund that. Otherwise, there are at least free resources.
That’s the kind of shit most folks grow out of by their 20s except for a dangerous few who go on to do horrific things (none of which have ever helped their cause outside of the basic goal of terrorism which is to make things worse for everyone.)

You need to accept this loss was a complete loss. There’s not going to be a righteous come back.
Kid, I get it feels like that. I remember being young and super upset about elections and thinking similarly but in retrospect, that was probably just the emotional rollercoaster of being a young teen and hey, I get you, that’s difficult. Especially with the world even worse now.
But, losing 51 to 49% in a time when almost every incumbent government has suffered shattering losses isn’t all that ridiculous, unexpected or an ominous harbinger of unavoidable doom. Deciding that it is such and making the only viable opposition party look even dumber though, well, that helps trump for next term.
Yes, trump will do a lot of damage. But, things can and hopefully will, get better. Remember, he was elected in 2016 and what happened the very next election?
I’d strongly suggest reading more about the world. It’s boring at first but it’ll give you perspective, context and understanding. (Or at least learn what a sunk cost is.)

Because I’m a functional literate adult and they are the best chance of making things better in America?
Throwing a temper tantrum in Congress isn’t going to help.
Voting in the primaries and moving the party to where you want it to be, does help!
And I’m mature enough to realize that not everyone will agree with my politics, so I’ll probably vote the farthest Left that I think can win their race, so as to not help Republicans.
This shit matters. While I’ll be fine pretty much no matter what, not everyone is so lucky. So, as a person with empathy, it’s important to think about what will help versus what is some stupid shit that would make me giggle but would be zero help (like your proposed electors nonsense.)
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
And the thing you are espousing is a stupid plan that doesn’t help change anything.
If republicans are that dangerous, don’t help them by throwing a pointless temper tantrum that erodes support.
This isn’t complicated kid.
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
Ahhh good “people won’t listen to the things I want so violence is the answer.”
When you’re espousing the same political philosophy as Al Qaeda, you should reassess.
That being said, I said some stupid shit when I was a kid too, hopefully you grow out of it and help us actually make things better.
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
Sad lol
This is why people have a hard time taking the left seriously.
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
Yeah, and they fucked our country so fuck them. If you were “on the fence” about this election then you simply dont desrve voting rights. Your opinion does not matter anymore.
Ironically, this is how a large swathe of the country feels about those who voted for Harris.
Kid, we couldn’t even get a majority of Americans to vote with us this time. Hystrionics and temper tantrums are not going to make things better.
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
last opportunity for the left to do something.
To do what? This would accomplish exactly as much as when a toddler has a tantrum in the grocery store.
“Oh no, the Dems tried some nonsense that doesn’t in any way inconvenience us, whatever will we do?!? Anyway.”
If you think highlighting the hypocrisy would jolt people, I again remind you of the Supreme Court fun with Garland and RBG.
All this does is make it harder for people to take the Dems seriously next time.
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
it would just stir the pot so brilliantly
Lol, no.
The world doesn’t work like this.
Who would get fired up who wasn’t already on side? Independents or those on the fence would just note that the Democrats were pulling the same nonsense they just spent four years crying fascism about. Right wingers would just see confirmation that the rules don’t matter. On the Left, the adults among us would see this as a stupid, hypocritical temper tantrum with no possibility of success and a further erosion of democratic norms.
This would be super unhelpful.

To what end? Funsies?
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
I’m not understanding what you’re trying to say.
Are you saying the Democrats, after called trump’s use of fake electors a threat to democracy, should try that failed tactic?
And are you saying this for 2024? After the Dems lost the popular vote, every swing state, the Senate and Congress, Dems should try to install Kamala as the 2024 winner?
Or that they should do that in 2028, regardless of the outcome or only if Republicana don’t cede power or?
- Comment on If the democrats executed the same fake electors scheme trump tried to execute, wouldn't Republican opposition be admission of trumps guilt? 2 months ago:
Ehhh, I think it sends a message to any Independent or wavering trump voter that “hey, 'member all the threat to democracy stuff we talked about? Yeah, just kidding!”
Sucks to be the adult party but such is life.

- Comment on When people say the AI bubble will burst, what exactly does that mean? 2 months ago:
The American stock market is hugely weighted by the top 5 or so companies, all of whom if I remember have jumped hugely in value based on ai (nvidia, microsoft, amazon, apple, meta) so if it turns out/investors decide there isn’t a way to make ai profitable, those valuations tumble as does the American stock market and likely the world’s.

I mean, it probably would’ve been ideal then but as usual, America was recovering from/embroiled in the last Conservative disasters (financial crisis, Afghanistan/Iraq.) And Obama had just burned a lot of political capital giving people healthcare.
