ChatGPT is phenomenal at coming up with ideas to test out. Good critical thinking is necessary though… I’ve actually been able to make a lot of headway with a project that I’ve been working on, because when I get stuck emotionally, I can talk to chatgpt and it gets me through it because it knows how I think and work best. It’s scary how well it knows me… and I’m concerned about propoganda… but it’s everywhere.
- Comment on Why doesn't Trump destroy or modify the Epstein files? 6 hours ago:
They modified the jail video and were surprised that the metadata showed it… that’s the best they can do.

The cops can come to them to get video on you. So you’re impacted.

That’s exactly what I use. Chances of my house getting robbed is small. Chances of yet another data breach is very high - this year my data was breached at least 2ce that I remember.

It’s such an apple thing - “revolutionize” something that already existed

Tbh I’m surprised they’re not asking for government issued id along with the selfie.

The arguments that I’ve seen against that is that the problem is the hardware. The child can figure out/find a hack to circumvent the restrictions. A determined 11/12 year old could do it. They’re the ones who still need restriction.

I didn’t realize anti loitering devices were a thing. What part of the world are they used?

It’s a great superpower. In my 30s I got to experience my 20s (I pretty much wasted those years working) and had a bunch of early/mid 20 friends. I didn’t stand out. Everyone thought I was their age, but I had the brain of a 30++ year old so men couldn’t take advantage of me. It was awesome. Had I done that in my actual 20s, I would’ve made a lot of mistakes…

I still have never received an unsolicited dick pic. I’ve never struggled to get men to like me though… I wonder what it is about me that tells them not to bother with the picture.

Tbh I have never seen Minecraft and Roblox content at all. I do occasionally see alt right content but I block it immediately and don’t see them again.
I’ll give you a different perspective, perhaps you keep getting those kind of videos because you share some of the same beliefs as them. So maybe yt/life is trying to get you to start questioning your beliefs and interests…

You’re giving people using google too much credit.

That’s so interesting re your mother. I wonder if her beliefs closely align to fox and asmongold (never heard of that one), but are different enough for her to not be interested in that content. Ie: ven diagram between the belief systems, except the differences are big enough for her to not to like fox content but for the algorithm the commonalities are good enough to keep suggesting the content.

I hear you. I use an adblocker and don’t see ads at all. I cannot imagine using the internet without it. I also only use the home link on yt and freely use the not interested feature.
- Comment on YouTube's Latest Update Shows That Online Monoculture Is Dead 6 days ago:
Exactly. I have my own interests and I just stick to that. Arts and crafts and dog grooming videos haven’t made me angry.
- Comment on YouTube's Latest Update Shows That Online Monoculture Is Dead 6 days ago:
Why did YT make you angry? I haven’t experienced it yet. I block content I’m not interested in and it goes away.

I hope not. That’s how we got here in the first place. I hope everyone is ashamed of themselves and their family members who participated.

… leadership impacts the product. Ff might be the best choice rn, but leadership will fuck it up.
- Comment on When does Trump finally start taking accountability? 1 week ago:
T was never held accountable for anything, why would he change? T’s followers see themselves in him and will continue to reject reality because their identity is closely tied to T. Continuing to live in denial is the brains way of protecting itself. For some people the flipside to this is psychosis.
