I guess there aren’t enough people for 80s/90s nostalgia. The 00s ended 15 years ago.

Also - create an irs profile and check to require a password to file taxes. And also create ssa profile and check the data.

It was both within the last 5 years, and transunion recently. They all gave free monitoring for those affected.
- Comment on YouTube adds new hurdles for ad blockers, and there's currently no way around it 1 week ago:
A new issue for me is the video sometimes skips/very slow while the audio is fine. Restarting the browser and pc doesn’t change anything.
- Comment on YSK you can poison your personal data to fight against surveillance capitalism. 2 weeks ago:
There’s no reason to over complicate this. Set boundaries with yourself. Set a budget, cut up your credit cards, try the envelope system.
- Comment on Amazon's Ring cancels Flock partnership amid Super Bowl ad backlash 2 weeks ago:
That was an interesting move by them, considering they’re seeing in real time the short term effects - when did target “rebrand”?
- Comment on AI safety leader says 'world is in peril' and quits to study poetry 2 weeks ago:
That’s why as humans it’s important to set boundaries with everything and everyone, especially yourself.
This can be used for personal development- ask ai to describe who you are (temperament, interests, dreams, weaknesses etc), test it out and if something is proven true work with it to find ways to adjust or overcome it

Good for him. My best years were spent not working and doing my own thing. It’s a shame that for some it only comes in retirement, while others never experience it.
- Comment on A “QuitGPT” campaign is urging people to cancel their ChatGPT subscriptions— Backlash against ICE is fueling a broader movement against AI companies’ ties to President Trump. 2 weeks ago:
I have memory issues (it’s a brain issue) and struggle to do some basic things, but higher order thinking is natural for me. So ChatGPT does the things I struggle with, I review it and then use that information for my bigger goals. I got a lot done last year because of chatgpt, and rn I’m on the last leg of the project. I spent a few years trying to complete the project alone and didn’t get far because of the memory issues.
How ai is used is dependent on the user itself. Some people just don’t want to put effort like your brother, some people have disabilities or other issues that prevent them from doing bigger things they’re otherwise capable of doing.

- Comment on The TV industry finally concedes that the future may not be in 8K 4 weeks ago:
Getting rid of my tv was the best thing I did for myself. That’s the future. Removing and reducing all screen time.

My issue was needing them when they didn’t have a charge or had low charge, and not being able to charge them while using them.

I love not having to worry about charging my headphones. I had wireless for years but I went back to wired.

- Comment on Leaker Who Apple Is Suing Says 'Screw It,' Here's the Foldable iPhone Early 2 months ago:
I don’t know yet. I’ll get a new phone when this one dies. The point is that I used to buy iPhones as default, and that is no longer the case. I wonder how many customers they lost like me - theoretically I could have been a life long customer.
- Comment on Leaker Who Apple Is Suing Says 'Screw It,' Here's the Foldable iPhone Early 2 months ago:
I was actually looking at foldable phones a few weeks back, seems like 2 screens isn’t enough to make a difference, but 3 screens are. It’s either I get that or a foldable 1 screen phone (like a flip phone).
On another note, after Tim apple bribed Trump with a gold ball I’ve decided to no longer buy apple products again. And it’s kind of a big deal because I’ve had iPhones since 2008.

This is forums not social media. Anonymous conversations on topics that I’m interested in. I’m not following anyone and I don’t see anyone’s history.

I haven’t used social media since 2011. Personally I don’t see the draw because it all lacks authenticity.
