  There was a dog in that car. The guy who was driving the car realized he couldn’t cross and got out of the car to run back on foot. The bridge quickly collapsed, sending the car, and the dog, do the depths below.

      I’m guessing he didn’t expect the bridge to come down, and letting your dog run loose on a highway is generally a bad idea.

  That bridge is now a habitat for a Pacific octopus, and there are now two bridges on that location.
