sir, are you implying it’s the best spot to dump a body
TheWizardOfOdd@lemmynsfw.com 9 months ago
Quite the opposite. If you murder someone on this trail, please take the body back home.
Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 9 months ago
Yeah, humans are nasty beings, full of pollutants & other weird chemicals, please dump your bodies in cities.

They want you to take out the trash. What is so difficult to understand about it.

So, clearly, people that aren’t trash are biodegradable.

Everything you bring with you, you take back with you. This includes the bodies.
Jokes aside, it’s just good manners to always leave an area cleaner than you found it. This means pick up after yourself and anything extra you find in the area.

Not in Everest.
NarrativeBear@lemmy.world 9 months ago
Guess there is not enough pack out and pack in signes installed around the area.
Seriously though, Everest should start requiring expedition groups to bring down bodies of any of its members that drop dead. Though it may be difficult if conditions are hostile and such.
Litter is definitely a huge issue on the mountain unfortunately. Individuals should bring down more than they brought up.
