I wonder how such a small number of names can be compared to all the names commonly in use in the country since its inception & throughout its run (i.e. only names that were common throughout the entirety of the past 250 years).

Frankly, I think I’d rather “were” - our system is rotten to the core, and I fear the only way to actually fix it is to start over with lessons learned in mind.

The tough part is that the collapse of the system doesn’t mean a better one would pop up after. With the current state of billionaires I’d be very concerned about what might rise from the rubble.
