What exactly is the problem if there was no Gun Ri Massacre?
The United States has never done anything bad ever.

apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 23 hours ago Oh let me tell you about the Jeju Massacre. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeju_uprising
The Jeju uprising and its repression were notable for its extreme violence; between 14,000 and 30,000 people (10 percent of Jeju’s population) were killed, and 40,000 fled to Japan.
The US basically let this all happen under their colonial control over Korea at the time.

But, you don’t need to go back that far in history to see the U.S. doing bad things. We dropped bombs on school children a couple of months ago, and are possibly still doing it right now.

True, but the meme is about learning about the countries history and I can accept that stuff less than 20 years old is not going to be taught in history class. Something that happened 70 years ago though should be covered.
