well my first base was just on whatever random planet I was on when I decided to finally give it a go, I made some storage chests and everything so its pretty nice, but then I ran out of materials. now Im on a planet that has aluminum so that seems more useful to build another base but I dont have enough resources to actually build anything yet haha
So where did you build your first/best outpost?

The way its supposed to work (I assume) is you build a bunch of bases on different planets for gathering different resources automatically. You then have them shipped to another location. There’s no way to sort incoming items though and no way to automatically clear items, so you’ll end up clogging up and having to remove junk though. It’s not ideal.

My first and only outpost is at my exact geographical location IRL on Earth.

My first base was on an icy moon as far away from civilization as possible, with only Aluminium and H³ to mine, staffed only by the Adoring Fan

Nowhere, cause I have no idea how to build one and the game isn’t very good at explaining it.

Maheo II - it has iron, alkaline, helium3, some other stuff but not in my base circle. Still trying to figure out how to do this well though, just got crew on the planet last night and spent an hour trying to make the Hab not look awful

On the Bessel system. There’s a moon there with a thin atmosphere and oceans. It has no life though, and there’s plenty of toxic rain, radiation, and the water was also toxic (dont remember how exactly).
I kinda like the idea of building a safe haven on that awful place lol.

Would keep visitors to a minimum.
