You think a single day general strike is going to do anything? You know it will require weeks of that to be remotely effective?
You going to pay for the money I lose that pays to sustain my life while we all do this? Who the fuck is going to pay for my groceries and rent? You going to help me find a new job after I get inevitably fired for the necessary months/weeks participating in that strike?

People should still get out and vote.
The blame for the current situation does not rest entirely with the ones who voted for Trump. It is also shared by everyone who didn’t vote for Harris. Because people believed that not voting, or voting for a third party would keep a dark-skinned woman from being president, this is what the US, and the world now, has to deal with.
It’s fine if you believe it won’t help, but if you don’t try, you can’t blame anyone else if it doesn’t go your way. At the very least, you should be able to look in the mirror and say “I did what I could.”
You know who else wants you to stay home and not vote? Trump. How about showing him he’s wrong? Or accept complicity in his actions.

I’m not saying don’t vote, I’m saying that alone isn’t going to help. Do you think people shouldn’t do anything else and should just rest assured all they have to do is vote 10 months from now?
Also, I can’t vote in the Untied States, I’m Canadian. I say us because it’s the whole world’s problem. He’s threatening millions of people who couldn’t vote against this.
