you want the equiv of a manic pixie dream server
must be free, and have all the options, and be easy!
also, servers are terrible gifts unless the person is expecting to be responsible for a server. kinda lika a dog.

- Comment on Life necessitates that you keep coming up with Plan B's and Plan C's, but I keep running out of ideas. 5 weeks ago:
dennis leary said it best.. something about life being the small things...
you have the orgasm, eat the twinkie, smoke the joint and go to sleep hoping you may get to do those things again someday.
keep it simple, cuz life is what happens between plans

nothing about windows 11 feels coherent. even the pieces that are already 100% the new 'WinUI' are objectively non-standard, and fucking ugly. the entire fucking operating system has lost any inherent obviousness to utility. every god damn piece of this is 'guess the interface'. it might be a hidden menu, it might be a link of some obscure comment on the 'page'.. who fucking knows... and those are the fixed menus!
its so bad you are forced to use the search to find menu/configuration items. what the ever loving fuck.
this piece of shit it in current forms has 1000 fucking cooks in the one kitchen, none of whom actually speak to each other and theres zero desire to make the system actually usable for end users.
i expect this in linux, but i am absolutely paying for what im getting there.this is no longer an operating system.. its a service delivery network that you have no control over, just like apple.
...at least apples evil had style.

- Comment on Email ownership, I give up. 4 months ago:
i get it. i ran my own server for 15 years... and i stopped ~ 8 years ago. it was just too annoying between the spam filtering and -todays-new-security-enhancement-
email is the one service im happy to pay someone to do.. from a bunker in switzerland. google not required.
...but you cant not use email and function in the technological world of today. email isnt about communication any longer. its about security and authentication.
