How big was the age gap?
- Comment on You rarely hear people get toungue-tied in scripted television or film 16 hours ago:
Ross from Friends stutters a lot. I’ve often wondered if the stuttering is scripted, an intentional quirk the writers chose for Ross, or if the actor naturally talks that way

Op once posted about how they don’t care their friend’s child is dying and how they could help but don’t care

I watch YouTube a lot and have never seen videos of the kind op speaks of. Pretty easy to choose what you watch on YouTube.

While watching Dr Strange 2, I was very confident Wanda wouldn’t kill Wong. Why? Because the audience would be less likely to forgive her for killing an important character. Killing extras doesn’t hit the audience the same way emotionally. Audiences will forgive a morally grey character for mass murder more readily than the murder of a character we’ve gotten to know.

If it wasn’t Hitler it would have been someone else. I don’t know why everyone thinks one person was solely responsible for all of it.

I think a lot of fans, like myself, wish there was more complexity to Slytherin house and have a different image of them than what they are in canon. But in canon they are absolutely the evil house with very few exceptions (Slughorn isn’t that bad but he is self-centered)
- Comment on Darth Vader was NOT a bad person 3 days ago:
I always wonder if people who defend fictional villains online also think mass shootings are justified because the person committing them was in pain.
It’s one thing to acknowledge that the character is complex and that there were reasons for his evil deeds. It’s another thing to say therefore his deeds weren’t wrong at all.

I think Padme was only five years older than Anakin but that’s a good point. op used to be obsessed with age gaps and they’re okay with Anakin marrying someone he net when he was 9 and she was 14. Also Han and Leia are a decade apart in age (the Solo movie where he’s an adult takes place before the Obi-Wan series where Leia is 10) and Ben and Rey are also a decade apart in age
- Comment on Darth Vader was NOT a bad person 4 days ago:
Technically Tarkin did that but Vader was complicit in it
- Comment on Darth Vader was NOT a bad person 4 days ago:
It should be noted that OP has previously expressed belief that the only justifiable reason for a character to change their life is loss of someone they were romantically involved with, so this is on brand.
Op believes that Anakin’s love for Padme was more important than anything, including the lives of children.
Nothing justifies murdering children, you psychopath. He wanted to save Padme. Guess what, Padme didn’t want children murdered to save her life. And you think becoming full on evil was justified because his wife died but he didn’t have to become evil. He could have used it as motivation to become a hero instead, like other characters would do. He could have sworn vengeance against the emperor for lying to him and telling him he’d save Padme and then not doing so. He chose instead to be a right hand man to an oppressive dictator. I see Anakin as a complex character, but to say he isn’t a bad person at all is too much

- Comment on If God truly is ‘all-powerful’ and ‘omnipotent,’ then Jesus dying wasn’t the only way to ‘save us.’” 4 days ago:
The entire Christian story is a giant plot hole because it tries to make us root for a hero who is just too powerful. I can buy a character who is all-seeing and all-powerful and in control of everything, but I CANNOT buy that character being purely good. Any character that controls everything and yet bad things happen, is a morally grey character at best. Him being that powerful and yet we’re supposed to see him as purely good, just doesn’t work.
Not to mention, the Bible depicts him doing a lot of very evil things. No reasonable person can read this character as purely good.
The hero being in control of everything doesn’t work because there can be no believable villain. They try to create a villain, a nemesis, to say God isn’t behind the bad. They made Satan to be the antagonist, but they try to have it both ways by making God still be all powerful and ultimately plan everything Satan does.
And then they want God’s climactic heroic act to be suffering the punishment for mankind’s sin in our place but the whole idea is a plot hole because it only works if there is someone demanding mankind be punished fir our sins. Who is demanding that? Satan? The story might work better if it were Satan but they want us to believe it is God himself, which renders the sacrifice pointless. Some argue that it wouldn’t be just for God to just let people off fir their crimes without some form of punishment, but I don’t see how punishing himself fixes that.

Revolution or war is the only way I see this regime ending. And on the off chance it does end with the normal election process, I forsee the democrats utterly failing to prosecute anyone or making any meaningful change to ensure it doesn’t happen again

Just different stages of grief. The world is broken. Maybe we can fix some parts of it but nobody is going to singlehandedly fix everything. Trying to fix it is the bargaining stage of grief. Being upset that you can’t do anything is the depression stage. Embracing it is the acceptance stage. Can’t change the world but we can change our attitude.
