    Allow me to present the concept of “house left/right” and “stage left/right.” This is left or right depending on perspective, given from out in the audience looking at the stage (house) or from the stage looking out at the audience (stage).

    The plushies on the left side are on house left. The plushies on the right side are on house right.

  I only have plushies on one side of my bed, because I’d feel bad if I accidentally squished one for hours, or knocked them over onto the floor.
