Sure, looters arenât asking me to lie about how it looks on them, nor scan and check them out and print a gift receipt, and I donât have to wrest off the shoplifting clamp-tag, theyâll take care of it at home. Other shoppers see a crowd and think weâre incredibly popular so they come in and buy whatever is left. ⌠Profit!

Iâm not keen neither on having my safety at risk or having to clean afterwards, neither earning less money, back then they paid me per shifts, less shifts => less money.

At my store shoplifters would take stuff out of boxes and packaging and hide them in random places. On a per capita basis they were probably messier than normal shoppers.
