I’m happy to see them. He probably saved all life to buy his childhood dream car.
So sad to see a really old guy driving an expensive sports car

Salesman: So, what kind of car you looking for old timer?
Me: One that can hit a bridge embankment at 150 MPH.random_character_a@lemmy.world 5 days ago
You can no longer hold your bladder, but you’ll still be cruising for bitches.

2001-ish Mercedes SLK. That’s my guess on the car. Neat ride.

Huh, that’s actually reasonably affordable. Looks like $11k-$20k in a brief search. Of course that’s pretty old and these are all high mileage…… but how well do they hold up? How expensive are they to maintain?
My daily driver is an EV, but I always wanted a fun car. I could be that guy in the meme

Would you rather see him scraping up coins for bus fare?

It’s not sad. Let the man have his fun! He may have been saving for decades.
