  Almost none of these are horror anime, and it’s largely a copy/paste of big-name anime over the years. Who the hell thinks Hellsing is a horror anime? Or Akira? Or Berserk? There’s nothing scary in them, they’re just action anime.

  Where’s Mieruko-chan? Or Happy Sugar Life? Those are legit horror anime.

  Higurashi is the most horror themed anime on the list. Maybe im just biased because i dropped it as a kid because it creeped me out to much.

  Interesting, I have never looked at Paprika as a “Scary Horror Anime”, just psychodellic AF.

    Really? Death Note certainly has a goth aesthetic to it, but I’m not sure what’s “horror” about it besides that.

  Glad to see Mononoke on the list. It should have equal mention as Ayakashi where it was a spin-off of.
