PSA if your car’s belts or breaks are squeeling, replace them. They’re designed to be noisy at the end of their lifespan, it’s supposed to let you know to replace them.
Drove on squeely belts for years, the snap. Engine boiled.

Also other noises. Ignored a noisy belt tensioner, tensioner turned into tensioner, idler and belt. And I had to drive 100km with no power steering or alternator. Luckily the water pump is on the cam belt

Most engine light warning problems can be fixed with a small square of electrical tape.

Just for those that are really struggling, many times it’s much much much cheaper to fix the problem immediately rather than wait. And doing it yourself is possible. You can even often borrow tools from your library. My library literally lends out fucking tablesaws!!! (Don’t use that to fix your car) Just something to keep in mind.
