An outdoor marquis sign with the words, “The employee shortage is so bad that long haired freaky people can now apply!”
Which is a reference to the 1971 song “Signs” by the group Five Man Electrical Band.

Posts about employee shortages after years of AI-driven mass layoffs followed by Trump government mass layoffs, which are further followed by more job cuts as Trump’s tariffs. Kinda tone-deaf, doncha think?
It can be regional, but most I’ve seen are people with specific skill sets, such as:

In my segment of the tech industry long hair and a beard show that you’re so important you don’t need to look professional.
I just wish the beard wasn’t so hot and itchy. I have the proper genetics to grow a massive beard. Like I can grow a full on Duck Dynasty or Sons of Anarchy level beard in 5 months. Shit is itchy and hot the whole time so I stay clean shaven to stubble.
AKA some men and most women?
Lemme translate:
The work-life-balance in our company is so terrible that our turnover is insane, so please, please do our dirty work and get scraps in return.
Yeah but the one most people remember its the live version sung by tesla.
Fatboy Slim for me
Don’t think I’ve every heard it. Guess I’ll have to give it a listen soon.

It’s kinda the opposite right now, isn’t it? Too few jobs for too many people?

The impressions on that front are heavily manipulated, employers want you to think there’s no jobs no matter how many jobs there are.
This is why they coordinated a tech worker glut after hiring everyone with a pulse and only keeping the pretty ones. Large movement like that don’t reflect economic movement but collusion in the employer class to keep wages low.
They employ all kinds of mind tricks, like testing how much bullshit you will wade through just to submit your resume. How many interview steps you’ll go through and of course so many “shadow” job postings, to collect and compare how is the most desperate for jobs and applying everywhere.
It’s employment warfare and you are losing !

Depends heavily on your location.
