From what I remember of a game I never played, she’s 100% robot, 0% organic. Why’s she human shaped and wearing hot goth clothes normally? Is it explained at all?

It’s because yoko taro is a horny freak with no shame.

That’s the in cannon and out of cannon reason. Taro knows what he likes and it’s why we love him.

      Spoilers I guess

IIRC they were made to look like humans so that later human souls can take over those bodies, to avoid a total human extinction due to some virus. But the clothes? Uhhh idk ¯\(ツ)/¯

Everyone knows human souls are most drawn to hot bodies in hot clothes.

Yeah, it’s explained, but like all media it’s more of an excuse. It’s a good game though. You should check it out.

(If you do check it out, you aren’t done after the credits roll the first time.)

I’ve said this before but that’s mostly synthetic skin, so she’d technically be a skinjob

Not really, it can be perceived as sobbing from the future, where the soul died.
