Wasn’t the point of Shrek that people have layers and their obvious traits aren’t the most obvious nor most important?

Disgusting. But if one dates like this, they’ll get what they deserve.
When I still dated, I didn’t care for looks or anything. When I first met my now-wife she thought I was a poor fellow (I even came in a 300 bucks car i just bought for this and worn up clothes) and she only had the most ugly pic that was ever done of me. Her pic wasn’t the best she ever did in a studio, but just snagged right at that moment, after getting up 😁
While most others usually ask “what is your job” in the very first 3 questions. Ugh. Boring.
Guess I’m just lucky to not be younger 🫤

I wonder how many relationships there are where both think they’re “dating down”?

Sum of all relations that have occurred in the last 10 years? Probably pretty high, based on the percentage of drivers who think they’re better than average.
I expect those relationships are short, though.
I would guess that in successful long term relationships, the opposite is probably true… Both partners think they’re dating up.

In all of my relationships have I been “dating down”. Because frankly I am too good forthe type of person who would date someone like me.
