It doesn’t take a lot of pressure to make a company cave, the James Gunn saga is one example.
If this causes a noticeable drop in revenue for them, they will care.

I suspect the amount of money they’d need to lose before they change course is actually quite small.

Definitely, didn’t the monster refer to him as “father” at one point?

As someone on r/Wallstreetbets once said, I can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

There’s enough people who genuinely believe the company is worth that to keep the value high for a very long time.

The price isn’t based on what the company is worth, it’s based on what people think the company will be worth in the future. Clearly, a lot of people believe that truly autonomous vehicles are just around the corner, and AI is going to revolutionise everything.
They’re most likely wrong, but it will take a long time for the market to accept that.

I suspect the answer is they just don’t give a fuck. Unless it affects their job, they just don’t care.

The merc would look okay with a black grille. Not stunning, but okay. I do like the mini merc logos in the lights.
The BMW just needs to start over.

I wouldn’t be surprised if an old mechanical injection diesel would run on petrol. You can definitely run them on a mixture of both petrol and diesel, as well as kerosene.

Demanding they quit because of this has definite “I live with my parents” vibes though. I doubt that person has a mortgage.

18-22 weeks of classroom based training, then three months supervision on the job. Then they will be getting promoted as they get more experienced.
It’s a lot to just walk away from.

This isn’t like working in fast food, where you can just find another job right away. You’re talking about abandoning a career the officer has spent years building.

That’s something that would cost thousands to fix if done to a car, as the paint needs to be sanded back and repainted. On an aircraft, it could easily be a six figure job, in addition to a multimillion dollar aircraft being unable to be flown.
Calling it terrorism is silly, but it’s absolutely damage.

I’m pretty sure applications can only send and receive data, with the finer details being handled by the OS.
But yes, there should be a specific permission to access biometric information.

So, they’re using brine from a reverse osmosis plant and wastewater to run this process, both waste products, and probably producing something roughly the same as seawater.
Sounds bizarre, but apparently it works.
