How the fuck does your TLDR start less than halfway through your post?
- Comment on BASED? 1 day ago:
Yeah, it’s mostly so we can afford cool things. Or even just live comfortably without worrying about money.
I think women overestimate how much men think about them, to be honest.

Pretty clearly not, it seems they’ve been decided it’s more trouble than it’s worth.

It sounds like Bazzite is the most “plug and play” version at the moment, is that right?
- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
Probably, yes. I think there’s a copyright reason behind destroying the book?
- Comment on The sheeet of power 1 week ago:
Mostly because it’s hilarious.
And you’re right, the real evidence this happened is in the reactions of the other people in the room, which are a lot harder to argue with. If nobody had reacted, I’d also be saying this doesn’t happen.
- Comment on The sheeet of power 1 week ago:
Like I said, I can hear it.
- Comment on The sheeet of power 1 week ago:
Oh, I can hear it all right. But a “fart sound” isn’t exactly convincing evidence by itself.
- Comment on The sheeet of power 1 week ago:
The sound isn’t that convincing, but the reaction of everyone else in the room says something hugely embarrassing went down.
Also blonde standing right behind him definitely caught the worst of the back blast.

From the description and other comments, I was originally expecting it to be much more obvious what had happened. Yes, I agree with the interpretation most people here have, but it’s a lot more subtle than everyone would like.

The reaction of everyone else in the room is what tells me this actually happened.

This has more in common with a thermocouple than a solar panel.
- Comment on Can workers compete with machines and stay relevant in the AI era? 1 week ago:
Given how much of a disappointment AI has been so far, I’m a little disappointed an organisation like the UN has bought into the hype.

I can see how some people are convinced AI is self aware.

Getting a notification whenever someone replies to you isn’t “monitoring the thread”
- Comment on Inside Xiaomi’s near-fully automated factory that assembles a smartphone in 6 seconds 2 weeks ago:
You should really think more about what you say. We’re talking about final assembly, not soldering individual components onto the board.
- Comment on Inside Xiaomi’s near-fully automated factory that assembles a smartphone in 6 seconds 2 weeks ago:
You should really read the article
I love the optimism.
- Comment on Inside Xiaomi’s near-fully automated factory that assembles a smartphone in 6 seconds 2 weeks ago:
Xiaomi said assembling a smartphone from circuit board to finished product takes about six seconds, and, at full capacity, the factory could produce more than 10 million devices annually.
That sounds like the final assembly takes six seconds, which is entirely plausible given how fast robots move.

- Comment on How the regime in Iran jams Starlink and what people could do 3 weeks ago:
This is the biggest problem with goobers like this, they hate the US, with good reason, but don’t quite grasp that the people the US are fighting aren’t automatically the good guys.
So they end up supporting some pretty horrific regimes.
