they are, and he didnt flee. fleeing’ suggests he evaded capture and made his own way to israel. actually he was allowed to leave after his lawful arrest without explanation and in direct contradiction to state and federal law.
They couldn’t lock him up, it would have been antisemitic.

Citizens still face steeper bail over weed charges. There should be no chance of bail for crimes against children, doubly so for foreigners as they are such a flight risk.
