I think this is the capitalists exploiting and discarding the workers once they are unable to perform work. This is the system working as intended.
Add some propaganda, lack of alternative etc. and you get this.

Do you have link to an article about that, sounds crazy.

Is that another American thing? Seems like a dumb idea if you have at least a handful of braincells.

but Mark Epstein told Newsweek the individual was not Clinton. He did not provide any additional details about the identity of “Bubba” or the meaning of the emails.
That is lie on the level of: “I have a girlfriend, but she is from another school, you don’t know her”

I do agree entirely, I also live in a very car dependant country and traveling is very complicated for me because I refuse to use a car.
- Comment on Arguing for the car as a good method of transportation is like arguing that having personal diesel generator to power you home is a good idea 1 month ago:
Yes I do agree, I do not think all cars should be destroy right this moment, but the reliance on cars in our current society can be greatly decreased via proper public transportation just like the reliance on diesel generators (on the society level) is negligible because of our electric system.
- Comment on Arguing for the car as a good method of transportation is like arguing that having personal diesel generator to power you home is a good idea 1 month ago:
No my problem is not with the diesel generator, I wanted to contradict the individualistic approach to transportation in our current society with the collectivistic approach of something like our energy grid.
There was another example with septic tanks vs plumbing. You can say the same for drilling wells vs again plumbing I guess.
Solar microgrids are very interesting technology in particula and very positive again because you can connect and coordinate them collectively with you neighbors for example. With the added benefit of flexibility and resilience the current grid doesn’t have.
- Comment on Arguing for the car as a good method of transportation is like arguing that having personal diesel generator to power you home is a good idea 1 month ago:
Yes, but one system is destructive, polluting and shifts the cost of transportation on the individual. So one system is clearly better here. That is why no one (ok very few people) who have electrified house or apartment decides “you know what I will need a diesel generator”.

Except if your car is too small for them, and also how often does this happen and why not use a rental,

I have, it is great there is also train to there and a bus to my family’s out of town house. And no power outages even tho it’s a small town.

Have you ever lived somewhere else, you can see how good life is when you have both proper electrification and good public transportation
P. S. I am not telling you to move, I am wondering does my argument make no sense to you because you don’t know anything better.

For the low low price of your kidney and the environment and all the car deaths, great deal I think. /s
- Comment on Arguing for the car as a good method of transportation is like arguing that having personal diesel generator to power you home is a good idea 1 month ago:
That is not exactly the point, the point I was making is that utility like electric is a public utility provided for use, just as public transportation can be. But we are stuck in thinking about the car in that private mindset that if we apply to utility like electric is like having a diesel generator powering your home.
