Ok, am I annoying or does this seem like another one of those “If you fall for these you kinda deserve it?” There’s not one single company I can think of that asks you to verify your e-mail in a reply. Like come on.
That, and nobody legitimate ever asks you to do anything with accounts/passwords/money/banks and ends the message with “warm regards.” Really? That’s right up there with “calvary greetings.”
I’d guess all of the braindeads who’d fall for that are not in the fediverse anyway.
Don’t underestimate the danger behind these messages: I’ll reply to you with the same message I wrote here.
Saw one of these earlier and reported it. Glad to see action is being taken and that you’re getting the word out.

please remove the phishing link from this post immediately. you can defuse it e.g. by putting it in a code snippet and replacing the dots with [.], e.g. netprocesse[.]com.

Definitely do report them. I’ve already banned a bunch of these and will continue to do so. We are reliant on reports, however, since we don’t have eyes everywhere. :)
