    Are they usually around this early? I was planning to gather some this year but I read they mostly start showing up around late September.

      Nope, everything seems to be early this year. I was shocked to find Hedgehogs and Hericium in July, we don’t see those until at least September here.

      Not sure where you’re at but in the PNW they peak in the fall but they can also be found year-round.
