I would prefer Satan at this point. At least he’d deliver executive orders by beaming the evil thoughts directly into your head. It’d be so much better than having to read twitter or truth social.

Nobody is better off with any overlord, that’s why we’ve spent so much effort trying to invent satisfying and effective governance.
While this isn’t so serious and is genuinely a shower thought, this is the lazy “I am deluded that different = maybe better” thought process that actively ruins the world, so please put more effort into wanting the world to be something else or focus on something you can.
Being deluded that different is maybe better is literally how humanity has made all progress. You seem upset with the word “overlord.” It’s a little ridiculous but somewhat understandable given its connotations. Thankfully when our benevolent alien patrons take over, it’ll be a non-issue.
