This could be the coolest thing I will never buy.

I mean, Switch 1 also has keyboard and mouse support. Just not a lot of games support it.

On the other hand, I’ll be curios how far Steam Input integration will go. Assuming these don’t self-destruct every few weeks like the original Joy-cons, these might make a neat portable controller.

Wooooow.
Nintendo did it, they found the missing feature that will ensure great sales. How can I boycott Nintendo now, they have mouse support.

MARIO PAINT 2 LETS GOOOOOOOOO
(Just kidding; I don’t give ever Nintendo my money anymore.)

You can always buy a used Switch 2 once it’s hackable.

What an embarrassing thing for the moderator to remove. Just an absolutely joyless person that mod must be.

As soon as they showed the JoyCon mouse control I was hoping there would be support for standard mice. It still doesn’t do anything to steer me toward a Switch 2 over a Steam Deck, but it’s an excellent move for accessibility.

Who’s claiming that giving away your Deck is a necessity?
TaiCrunch@sh.itjust.works 10 months ago
I don’t have a Steam Deck yet. Given the choice between that and the Switch 2, at this point, I’m still going with the Steam Deck.

Good for them trying to catch up to the rest of the market
I’m done with giving Nintendo money tho

More support for all controls means better accessibility is always a good thing

The gimmick gets more gimmicky.
BUT. this is a good sign for emulators

No idea why you’re so dismissive. Metroid Prime 4 with a proper mouse is a great outlook.
oddspinnaker@lemm.ee 10 months ago
This was actually my assumption for the mouse controller Nintendo showed.
The real feature is full pointer support! The built in mouse is a gimmick to introduce full pointer support.

I’ve always felt like this would be the ultimate FPS setup. The aiming precision of the mouse, but using analog for movement
