  Always seems to me that the mens restroom is the one farthest from the entrance to any given building. You pass the womens to get to the mens.

  My initial reaction was it’s not true at my local Mexican tavern, but then I remembered Crackerbarrel is almost always on the left and I don’t think it can get more white than a barrel full of crackers.

  Yes, it’s obvious, yet people don’t seem to notice. It strenghtens the connectio between The Right with men’s restroom (the superior restroom), which ties into politics and associate the right with superiority.

  At my last job, the men’s locker room and bathroom were on the left. It had three sets of bathrooms and two sets of locker rooms, and they were always on the left. At my current job, the men’t bathroom is on the left in two out of four buildings. In one building, the bathrooms are on opposite sides of a hall, so what side they’re on depends on which direction you came from. At the restaurant I am currently sitting in, though, the men’s restroom is on the right.
