- Comment on people prefer me as a person not on ADHD medication, but prefer my work style on meds 5 days ago:
I can’t really write a lot because, I don’t have much knowledge in this matter. However, what do you prefer?
It’s your life, you’re the one taking the medication. You are the one that has to life with or without it. Do what is best for you.
‘Friends’ that don’t stick around at hard times are not really friends (imo). They just want the fun part and then ditch when it’s tough.
- Comment on Men are opening up about mental health to AI instead of humans 1 week ago:
Of course men will go to an AI for their problems, they can’t fathom going to a woman for honest advice.
This seems a bit far-fetched, don’t you think? There could be so many reasons as to why someone would rather use AI than going to another person for advice (this is not just about women).
Honestly, as someone who actually went to therapy and yes, my therapist was a woman. It’s was quite tough to open up and be vulnerable.
I think for some people using AI, they might feel as if they’re not that vulnerable because it is not a person. However, they don’t realize that there’s data is being gathered.
And as a result, they gaslight themselves with a worse version of ELIZA.
With this, I can’t figure out whether you’re serious, trolling or just writing randomly.
- Comment on Steamdeck or.... 1 week ago:
I know your comment is ~1 month old but - I’m actually surprised you got downvoted for this comment, because you are right. Steam Deck got released around 2022-2023 and from research, it struggles a bit to play newer games well.
I have been debating to get a Steam Deck OLED but that’s one of the reasons why, I’m uncertain to purchase one (and hoping for Steam Deck 2). Steam Deck is great for indie-games and emulation though. Was also eyeing the Switch 2 but the prices are ridiculous and thus will wait until price drops or until it’s hackable.
- Comment on Switch 2 Breaks Records By Selling Over 3.5 Million Units In Four Days 3 weeks ago:
Tech people here not sure why you think we care more than others. I want to play new Nintendo games and I can afford it. That’s really all it’s about.
You might not care but tech people do care. Much more than non-tech people.
A statement can be true even when it does not apply to you.
- Comment on Switch 2 Breaks Records By Selling Over 3.5 Million Units In Four Days 3 weeks ago:
Non-tech people usually don’t care about the ToS and the dirty practices a company does. They’ll gladly pay for the ‘convenience’.
Most Nintendo fans even argued that prices, new ToS (bricking the device) and such were “justifiable”. Same thing about owning games, most argued that “in today’s era you barely own anything anyway”.
It’s very unfortunate and sad to see but it is reality.
Personally though, I’ll wait for either a working emulation or when there’s an actual exploit found to hack the Switch 2.

what has gaza to do in the workplace emails? nothing. same with israel.
Everything when the company you work for is implicit in genocide of Palestinian people.
you work and then go home where you can write what you want to who you want.
Yeah, some people do who give no care about the company they work for is complicit in genocide. However, some humans still have humanity within them. They do care. They’ll protest.
- Comment on Microsoft bans words like "Palestine", "Gaza" and "Genocide" in all company emails and fires the employee who protested Microsoft during event. 1 month ago:
It’s insane how all the corporate companies are just allying and okay with genocide, apartheid, racism, hatred and everything related to it. Not surprising but it’s insane.

- Comment on Ori studio in crisis: No Rest For The Wicked could be their final game 1 month ago:
I think another good example would be Cyberpunk 2077. Its release was insanely horrible but it seems they managed to solve it somehow.
Haven’t really followed the gaming news regards this game though. However, I hope they manage to find a solution. The Ori games were truly masterpieces (in my opinion).

I’m not an American and I don’t live in America. I don’t have much knowledge in this but, I’m quite pessimistic on that regard.
Have you seen other countries? Fascism, hatred and racism are unfortunately on the rise. To name a few; Israel, India, Germany, The Netherlands and Italy (I think it was Italy that had a years ago or something, bunch of Nazis in standing ovation with their hand ups for their “fallen comrade”); [www.vice.com/en/…/nazi-salute-far-right-rome/](Chilling Video Shows Hundreds of Far-Right Activists Giving Fascist Salute).

Recently finished university and got my first job in basic accounting. All I do is well, watch videos on phone, messages people and a bit of accounting here and there. Boring, relaxing and that’s about it. Going to stick with it for a year and then prolly find new work.
- Comment on Nintendo lawyers want to force Discord to reveal Pokémon Teraleak source 2 months ago:
The more I read about Nintendo, the more genuine dislike I get for them. The only thing I read, hear and see are negative bullshit for some petty reason they’ve.
I hate how such a shit company holds so many good nostalgic games. Truly hoping for a quick hack on the Switch 2 and a PC emulation (and I hope truly, hope that Palworld wins the whole fiasco).
- Comment on The first folding e-reader is smaller than a paperback 2 months ago:
I wonder how people will show off all of the books they haven’t read, what with analogs going out of stye and all.
I don’t know whether this is sarcasm or not, can’t figure it out. But if isn’t, well, I suppose they won’t.
Reading is usually for oneself and not to show off, so I assume, people who purchase such a thing wouldn’t care about showing off.
I like reading normal books but, I currently prefer devices (I.E screens) because it’s easier to carry around, multiple books possible and less preying eyes “what are you reading”.
- Comment on Apple shipped five plane-loads of iPhones and other products in three days to beat US tariff deadline 2 months ago:
Apple has teased with making the iPhone-as-a-service, meaning you lease it instead of owning it.
I really like iPhones (more so iOS), especially with sideloading now.
But if leasing becomes norm and we can’t purchase it or get it through subscription of service (2 years with Vodafone and then the phone is yours kind of thing). I’ll just purchase an older Samsung. Then I’ll take the loss and struggle for a few months with the interface and all that.
- Comment on Are PC handhelds like Steam Deck really competitors for Switch 2? 2 months ago:
I don’t see the problem with having both- they fill different niches.
Money. Steam Deck OLED costs in my country €700, Switch OLED €350-360 and the Switch 2 will be around the €560-600.
steam deck, I’d be really sad to not have any Mario kart, Zelda, etc…
I’m so close on purchasing a Steam Deck OLED to game in weekends or in bed after full 5 days behind a desk job. But I’m always worried that these games won’t work well with emulations. I’ve been researching like crazy but keep reading different things.
And spending €700 with uncertainty is not my favorite thing to do.

- Comment on Meta profits as ads promote illegal Israeli settlements in West Bank. 2 months ago:
Best is not to use the platform but if you do, then the best thing to do is; use a tweaked version.
One that removes the ads and gives more settings to tweak.
For iOS you can check EthMods Telegram channel and find the tweaked version and then install them through SideStore sideloading.

- Comment on Steam Deck / Gaming News #8 2 months ago:
Heavy emulator user here, the Deck made my Switch obsolete
Oh wow, that the Steam Deck had such an effect on the usage of the switch.
If you don’t mind the tinkering to get the emulators configured, the Deck is a no-brainer for me
I don’t really mind tinkering with it, already know my ways with emulation on PC. However, I have no knowledge on Linux and that’s what worries me a bit.
However, the Deck can also run every other console up until Switch/PS3/Xbox 360
So the Steam Deck can run the PS2 emulation and play these games (just as the PC can?).
Most of the games of the Switch I’d like to play are the Mario games. I can name them all if necessary but will do it later (at the moment at work).
On the Deck, ToTK can struggle to reach even 30 in many areas without community modpacks.
Can the Steam Deck run Breath of the Wild without issue?

As I’m uncertain how strict this instance is regarding sailing high seas, I’ll just mention that 95% of my games are through sailing the seas including emulating.
I’d recommend a Steam Deck

Always love reading your posts!
You seem to emulate a lot on Steam Deck (right?). May I ask how smooth the emulation of Switch games goes?
I have been heavily debating between Switch OLED and the Steam Deck (and then emulate Switch games). But keep hearing different things about how smooth things run.
Steam deck going to cost €700 while Switch €550 (switch + get someone to mod it).
Also; I assumed that BlueSky can see posts from Mastodon but unfortunately can’t find you through BlueSky.

- Comment on Fediverse alternative to Pinterest? 3 months ago:
I use(d) Pinterest to collect fan-dom stuff and wallpapers. Each board for a movie, series, anime or game.
Nowadays I just search for a wallpaper and hope it isn’t AI, download it and leave the platform again. There’s no use on actually using the platform for what its intended (pinning, saving and sharing). Almost anything you do gets flagged by their AI bot for “inappropriate, adult or violence”.
I mean, they flagged a plant as “adult” content and smiling Luffy face as “violence”. Oh I forgot, their platform is just one giant advertisement crap now. 3/4 of the screen will be taken up by a video/gif of an advertisement.
- Comment on Digg is about to be rebooted. Thoughts? 3 months ago:
Never tried it but I’m worried that they (too) will use AI for moderating and all that. AI as moderator for deleting, flagging and stuff is a bad idea.
Just look at Pinterest’s mess with AI that removes pins and ban accounts for no reason.
I’ll probably wait when Digg is rebooted and see how the early-adopters write about their experiences.
- Comment on Fediverse alternative to Pinterest? 3 months ago:
I have been searching for one, for a year or two. Ever since they keep removing pins for the most mundane things or literal no actual reason.
