Not true but it seems you love to go off-topic and use whataboutism and therefore I will just block you. That way I don’t have to see your pro-genocide and anti-protesting nonsense.
- Comment on The people who protest against the Palestinian Genocide would be the same people who protested against the Holocaust. 6 hours ago:
Do those protesting for Gaza also protest about Sudan, Yemen, Rohingya, West Sahara, Yezidis, Uyghurs, Christians in Nigeria, Kurds, and so on?
Whenever I read this, I roll my eyes. This is one of the most ridiculous arguments.
You have to start somewhere and you can’t put your focus on everything. Plus your argument is a method to move the topic to “do you/they this and this and this and that?” Instead of the actual on-topic.
- Comment on Does anyone else notice an up tick in hostility on Lemmy lately? 1 week ago:
The hostility has been here for quite a while, though. When the migrating happened from Reddit to Lemmy it was all nice and cozy but after a year or so the hostility was already there. Very often people did not want to acknowledge this (and started to heavily downvote the particular comment stating this). Plus with what is happeneing in the world, the negativity from reality seeps into the digital world.
But anyway, the best thing to do is just block anyone who is hostile towards you for no actual reason. Has no point to put energy and/ or time in it.
- Comment on Are there any games you don't play as it was intended to be played? If so, what game and how? 1 week ago:
Honestly, any “hard game”. I really love hard and challenging games but time isn’t in my favor (work, commuting and other responsibilities). So when I play a hard game (example Silksong) and I’m genuinely stuck, I’ll just use a Trainer or WeMod to get past it and after that stop using it and continue the game normally.
- Comment on I finally decided to go full piracy against big companies 2 weeks ago:
Bit busy so can’t make a long comment. Just wanted to say, welcome to the ‘dark’ side. I highly recommend to check the instance in on for everything you need (Megathread). It tells you where to look, which safety measures to take etc.
I wanted to purchase Metaphor Refantzio because the game seems good and then figured out they blatantly said “you don’t own Metaphor even if you purchase it”. Thus decided to pirate it (it isn’t cracked but it is playable).

- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 1 month ago:
Every single game that’s hard, gets the same “it’s so hard” complaint. Well of course it is, isn’t that one of the appeals of the game? Reminds me Sekiro when it got out.
Anyway, we both got our own opinions and that’s that. Lets agree to disagree, I suppose.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 1 month ago:
That’s alright too but every time there’s a hard game, it’s always the same old complaining. It’s tiresome.
Hollow Knight, the first game was hard too with some bosses.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 1 month ago:
People have nothing better to do than complain, I suppose. Don’t like the game? Don’t play it. The game is good, imo.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on Steam - and it broke Steam servers for 15 minutes and counting now 1 month ago:
Yeah, I bought it the day after its release (today September 5th). Played about 1,5H (so glad I “work” from home).

Thanks, going to try out LibreOffice. Does it has same (or similar) functions as Word itself?
- Comment on Microsoft Word documents will be saved to the cloud automatically on Windows going forward 1 month ago:
Thanks, I’ll look into Markdown!
Or is it about saving notes to cloud?
No, that’s not it. I just want a Word-alike thing that allows me to put a password on it and use it as a ‘modern diary’ (like how you can make chapters and such in Word).
Not sure if I explained it well, English isn’t my native language. So wasn’t sure how to explain it
- Comment on Microsoft Word documents will be saved to the cloud automatically on Windows going forward 1 month ago:
I have a Word document saved into my ‘personal account vault’ which is for personal thoughts (like a diary). Does this mean, they’ll automatically upload this too into their cloud?
If that’s the case, not sure what to do. Tempted to go back to old school diary but risk the chance of my family finding it.

Genuine question; is there anything we can do against eye floaters or is it necessary to go to opticians/ doc?
- Comment on Nintendo Switch Console & Accessory Prices Are Going Up In The US 2 months ago:
Truly depends on the game.
Well my main usage for the Deck would be games like; Almost all Switch popular Switch 1 games (except Zelda), Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload, Metaphor and Expedition 33 as well as the Ori games.
But yeah, there are quite a few AAA/higher graphical fidelity games I just won’t bother, even if it’s technically playable at a "smooth’ 30FPS. Like Kingdom Come 2 ran pretty decently on it, surprisingly, but damn did it really make the game look pretty rough.
I saw videos on YT that Metaphor runs on 30-40FPS in cities, 60FPS in battles and that with emulation it’s a bit hit-or-miss. Someone told me, I’m asking to much of a handheld device but considering that the Deck is €700 which is a kind of a normal budget PC.
This might be a personal thing but 30FPS is going to bother me to no-end. I’m probably just spoiled with the at least permanent 60FPS and very often 144FPS.
But, honestly, I still use my Deck a shit ton, especially at work. It’s hands down the best portable emulator machine and there are tons of indie games that run great on it. It also works great as a small laptop in desktop mode. I use it almost daily at work.
Great to hear! Did not expect the Deck being able to work as a small laptop, hah. Though, my main usage would be gaming at home (for example; in bed, on the couch or outside in the yard). Kind of want a handheld because after 5 days of office work, it’s nice to game somewhere else than in front of the PC.
- Comment on Nintendo Switch Console & Accessory Prices Are Going Up In The US 2 months ago:
I have a PS5. I don’t intend to ever buy a console again. That era is dead.
Similar situation here. Bought the PS5 and probably used it for a year or so and now it’s collect dust. Literally. Kind of regretting getting one. I only game on PC nowadays.
I was thinking to get a Switch 2 but then all the chaos hit with the emulation takedowns, Nintendo suing Palworld, Prices of Nintendo games, prices of their accessories and the whole game key card stuff. Just to much negativity.
Still thinking about Steam Deck but it’s 3 years in its life. So not sure whether that’s worth the €700 euro. Have heard it struggles with the current games.

That’s all? That’s why they’re upset? Sigh, it’s as if someone accidentally farts and then they rage.

I’m curious how this movie is, I’m used to the older ones and a show called Smallvile.
I did not know there was some anger about this Superman movie. Anyone could quick give me a small summary?
Though bit bummed out that they keep remaking movies and shows instead of making new ones.

- Comment on Threads is nearing X's daily app users, new data shows 3 months ago:
So, I looked it up and figured out it was like that previously. They changed their policy now.
However, if you delete your Instagram account, it will also delete your Threads account because apparently Instagram is directly linked to the Threads account.
How would they even have that ability?
So this answer your question; I assume it’s due to the linking of the account (Instagram and Threads account)

- Comment on people prefer me as a person not on ADHD medication, but prefer my work style on meds 3 months ago:
I can’t really write a lot because, I don’t have much knowledge in this matter. However, what do you prefer?
It’s your life, you’re the one taking the medication. You are the one that has to life with or without it. Do what is best for you.
‘Friends’ that don’t stick around at hard times are not really friends (imo). They just want the fun part and then ditch when it’s tough.
- Comment on Men are opening up about mental health to AI instead of humans 3 months ago:
Of course men will go to an AI for their problems, they can’t fathom going to a woman for honest advice.
This seems a bit far-fetched, don’t you think? There could be so many reasons as to why someone would rather use AI than going to another person for advice (this is not just about women).
Honestly, as someone who actually went to therapy and yes, my therapist was a woman. It’s was quite tough to open up and be vulnerable.
I think for some people using AI, they might feel as if they’re not that vulnerable because it is not a person. However, they don’t realize that there’s data is being gathered.
And as a result, they gaslight themselves with a worse version of ELIZA.
With this, I can’t figure out whether you’re serious, trolling or just writing randomly.
- Comment on Steamdeck or.... 3 months ago:
I know your comment is ~1 month old but - I’m actually surprised you got downvoted for this comment, because you are right. Steam Deck got released around 2022-2023 and from research, it struggles a bit to play newer games well.
I have been debating to get a Steam Deck OLED but that’s one of the reasons why, I’m uncertain to purchase one (and hoping for Steam Deck 2). Steam Deck is great for indie-games and emulation though. Was also eyeing the Switch 2 but the prices are ridiculous and thus will wait until price drops or until it’s hackable.

You might not care but tech people do care. Much more than non-tech people.
