Yeah, bought a wifi-enabled olympic bar and it’s permanently set to 0lbs until I connect it. Supposedly, the app has a cupon for free weights, but idk, I think I’m gonna install a VPN on it.

When you say padded, do you mean like most anime where they just add unnecessary conflict to fill out the story, or was it more like extra steps to get to the main story?
The one thing I didn’t enjoy so much from 1 was the way each story followed the exact same arch.
- Comment on Octopath Traveler 0 – Announcement Trailer 4 days ago:
That’s a fair point. The narrative was very much a choose your own adventure with mostly interchangeable parts.
I enjoyed it for those reasons, though, because it gave me the feeling of old FF games when players got to decide completely on party makeup. I thought it was nice that I could get my chosen team to level 60 and then just blaze through the characters I hated and focus on what I wanted to do.

secret end boss.
Hoping 2 and 0 are worth it because 1 was a nice return to retro gaming style and so easy to pickup and put down.

Very creative way to get lemmy to write a delicious meal plan. Hope Chile Rellanos con Queso is a happy little buddy.

The show already took cues from Mass Effect, which I thought was done very well.
The one that stood out to me most was when

Bobby finds out the martians are smuggling for Inaros and there is a scene where she is running to catch them, but fails. It was almost exactly the same feeling as running in ME 3, and it just felt good all round. More of that kind of inspiration, please!

Uh, 'scuse me, I am proud to be Irish ~and Scottish, both from about 400 years back~! I take pride in my heritage by regularly listening to Celtic music.

Yep, and the only available one is overflowing with piss-n-shit water, and the toilet paper is soggy, and there are no papertowels and the soap is empty and the sinks are just more toilet bowls full of piss-n-shit water.
- Comment on How does AI-based search engines know legit sources from BS ones ? 2 months ago:
That’s actually not why billions of people are using them. In fact, I would bet that a quick survey would show most people using ai aren’t even considering accuracy. But, you could always ask ai and see what it says, I guess…

My initial reaction was it’s not true at my local Mexican tavern, but then I remembered Crackerbarrel is almost always on the left and I don’t think it can get more white than a barrel full of crackers.

This reminds me of a kid with a similar diagnosis I had when I first started teaching. He just turned 18 and came in that day “with his adult voice.” Full octave lower than usual, and wanted everyone to know it was because he just turned 18 - lasted until about lunch time. Hopefully this is a joke shirt, but I can definitely say there are people like this out there.

No, no, I was born there, and they’re every bit as b-ass-ackwards as you can imagine. (Even more so, most likely, because most of them see the southern stereotypes as a challenge). Not a stretch whatsoever to mix them up with TX.
- Comment on What were your go-to Games (or programs! We're all nerds here) from your childhood 2 months ago:
I grew up with some of the first games. Loved Sierra’s library. Played some of the more eclectic games like Battle Beast and Howie’s Great Word Adventure. As far as programs went, I didn’t get much into it until later. But, I do remember using the Microsoft Works Creative Writing Program. That was fun to do designs on.
- Comment on Why I recommend against Bluesky. 4 months ago:
I had a nice little profile on there until about a month ago. I didn’t delete when I saw AI spammers join. And I kept my profile even when the mods were starting to become reddit-ish. What sent me over the edge was when they announced a partnership with an AI company who said they were “just there to beef up security”. Yeah, no, not for me. Super sad, too, because Bluesky is a good idea, but I’m sticking with the fediverse.

Well, from HS bio, I remember urine is stored in the balls. So, maybe some other way to make babby?
