Great.
Now do trains
The cap has been increased by 150% from £2 to £3.
Please under no circumstances do trains.
I think they’re referring to actually having a cap.
Also it’s a 50% increase not 150%.
I love playing “will the train be cancelled today?” every morning. Luckily covid’s WFH revolution means I have a plan b, but for people who have to go in every day… I pity them.
I don’t know how people can rely on trains for a commute without getting sacked. Do they have to catch the train 1-2 hours earlier than they should need to?

Are you some kind of shill ?
The story is it’s increased by 50% from £2

Only if you are looking for false negatives.
The story is the discount was planned to end. But has instead been reduced by 50%.
You can only claim it is an increase if you claim a discount was not planned to end. And that is just a lie.

You could argue that the story is that labour didn’t decide to continue the full discount (and have therefore put up the price) when they could have.
I would prefer more/better services over price, but a lot of others depends on the current price of the existing busses.

They could have renewed it at £2 and still increased the funding without taking it from people who rely on public transport.
No false dichotomies please.

That’s so ridiculous I’m lost for words, quite frankly. To suggest a 50% increase is a positive because it could have been worse is at best very stupid and worst, dishonest .
It seems feddit has been captured by the party faithful . At least we know now.

Shill for who exactly?
I just thought that this news is worth sharing.
