Goodness me, you are being difficult today.
I think you can appreciate, that one user’s definition - no matter how agreeable you and I might find it - speaks to everyone’s definition of the same term.
Especially when we are talking about colloquial slur, like tankie, which isn’t in main dictionaries.
- Comment on What is the difference between lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works? 16 hours ago:
… the root of the problem is your apparent compulsion to call people “toxic” and “assholes” for having different views.

They used a political slur against entire servers and on the left, there is a concept of solidarity.

Make it a stickie, because barely anyone observes this definition.
I am regularly slurred as Russian bot or a tANkiE when calling for peace and de-escalation of war.
Daily .

How you choose define it changes nothing .

As a socialist, you will understand I’m sure that constant being slurred with “tANkiE” from mostly .world users is very tiring

It’s very telling that all across lemmy this is being celebrated. Looks like most people completely missed the point.
I don’t myself like mastodon very much, but if you came to lemmy to stick it to the man it’s a bit silly to cheer on the next man, which is what bluesky is.
Twitter will remain a place for the Right and nut job grifters , probably absorb truth social and the others. bluesky will become the place for liberals and centrists who jerk each other off because they have a degree and gay friends and think they are enlightened.

That’s so ridiculous I’m lost for words, quite frankly. To suggest a 50% increase is a positive because it could have been worse is at best very stupid and worst, dishonest .
It seems feddit has been captured by the party faithful . At least we know now.

Every single news outlet bar none is reporting g the real story which is that it’s a 50% increase from the previous cap of £2

I just want one outlet to break the shit cycle and report it for what it is : CEO got big pay rises thanks to savings made by eliminating jobs.
That is simply the neutral truth.
It’s not some freakish occurance, not some overtime golden goal shit, this is how it works. It’s the norm.
