    The Brits invented radar, and could thus anticipate German bombing raid well in advance what of what was previously possible. They didn’t want Germany to know about their fancy new tech, so they said that British soldiers had incredibly good eyesight because they ate lots of carrots in the hopes the rumor would spread to Germany. The myth still persists today.
