This is hurting blue collar workers the most, FYI.

To be fair, the normal operation of dealership software is hardly distinguishable from a complete malware infection.
I’ve dealt with Reynolds and Reynolds, and ADP, and they are utter bags of moldy dogshit at the best of times.

Now we just need to nuke them all from orbit and move to a better transit world.

Too much of a leftist grift even for Lemmy, yikes

Probably because of the nukes, if you have a weapons platform in orbit you can do something like launch large metal rods and it’ll have the same destructive force without any of the nasty radioactive fallout

My kid’s doctor had their prescription service ransomwared. They paid it, and then got ransomwared again by the same folks.
It’s been six months now, the prescription system is broken, and they’ve been using paper prescriptions since then with no idea when things will get fixed.

I stopped using the dealership when they required paying by typing my card information into their http website. They said they couldn’t take physical cards anymore due to Covid. Then they handed me a pen to sign for the work to get my keys.

Then, they look confused when I tell them I don’t want the thing connected to the Internet.

But how will they know about your driving habits? How will they sell data to the actuaries? You’re being selfish. What are you hiding?
