        I don’t know anything about Battlestar Galactica, except that it’s a series I was never interested in as it just looks like a never ending war similar to Star Wars, which I was also mildly interested in for the same reason.

        But after having a quick look at the wikipedia article - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlestar_Galactica

        You are probably right, it should be Mormonism … I never knew that series was partially influenced by an actual real world religion.

      DS9 has all sorts of complications that could fit any number of things I think (Bajorans/Prophets, Maquis, Founders, Jem’Hadar, Dominion, etc).
