Wasn’t Spock originally supposed to be an android, but they changed him to space elf because of budget?
I could be making this up. I feel like that’s something I read though.

Stamets@startrek.website 11 months agoAgreed. I’m guessing this is one of those ‘myths’ that Humanity has about Vulcans and the Vulcans just play completely into it to have an advantage. But the longer a human works with a Vulcan, the sooner they realize that it’s utter bullshit and that most Vulcans are emotional lying whores.

I’m not sure about android but he was supposed to be Martian and have red skin. However there were a lot of complaints about ‘devil’ comparisons.
