I only know two people with Tesla’s but both of them are embarrassed to be driving around in one and aren’t planning to buy another one when they replace it. Obviously that’s just anecdotal, but if Tesla can’t separate themselves from Musk while he’s trashing his personal brand and right while a ton of competing electric vehicles are coming on the market… they are going to have a bad time.
Yeah, no, I’m not remotely embarrassed to be driving a Tesla. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned, and I’d happily buy another, knowing full-well that Musk had nothing to do with its production.
That said, the Tesla board absolutely needs to kick his ass out, and the more he spews bullshit, the more likely it is I’ll buy another brand.
I just bought a brand new electric car and wouldn’t dare get a Tesla now because of him. I got a Cadillac lyric inside and it’s been awesome.

I wanted a Tesla when I thought Musk was pretty cool with everything he was doing with SpaceX.
Then the pandemic hit and I learned exactly who he was. There’s no way I’d ever support Musk now, let alone voluntarily give him my money.
Dude looks like he snifs his own farts, and he likes the smell.

Same boat here. I want a new car and tesla was top of my list. I wouldn’t be caught dead in one now while Musk is in charge.
