In some ways, I do think you are right.
If everyone saw the president doing porn I imagine that would impact how people engaged with him politically.
That being said, I do feel like you are treating the symptom and not the source.
Teachers are not using work like porn for freedom of expression, they are doing it to put a roof over their heads. It's meant to supplement income that is not part of their primary source: Teaching.
So long as we pay teachers a poverty level, I don't think we can debate the morality of survival. Or punish them for the inaction of politicians.

Best thing we can do to help the children is to pay teachers substantially more. Until then, things like this will keep happening.

Well you sure as hell aren’t going to hear any arguments from me on that one. I think that’s the real story, here. That woman was making an embarrassingly small salary for her service. Missourians should be ashamed of themselves.

Sadly, the low pay for teachers is pretty pervasive across the entire US. My first teaching job paid $36k per year in Wisconsin in 2013. Luckily, rent wasn’t quite so expensive back then, but it’s still an outrageously low income for what is expected from teachers. I don’t know a single teacher who either doesn’t have a second job or a spouse that makes quite a bit of money.
