I don’t think your take is terrible, just missing something.
I came upon a woman (no, not like…OK, maybe like that, too) who had survived some real life shit. Done therapy, blossomed into a latent wild one enjoying being free of the bad shit. I met her in her finding herself wild prime. She helped me refine my own chaotic negligent wild into a more charismatic swashbuckling wild. We validated each other and together we were better than apart.
Her having gone through some major shit, and having had therapy to build her back up to have self-confidence, is what made her mature. The wild part was just blowing off equivalent levels of steam for a few years. You’re not wrong about the parts, but they don’t have to be in that order.

Respectfully, I think your take is trash.
Wild girls can be mature, adventurous, and open minded. If they choose to settle down, that sense of adventure doesn’t necessarily die.
Your presupposition relies on the fact that sexually open women need therapy and introspection. I vehemently reject that supposition.

Literally can’t be “wild” and mature/responsible, not in the way OP and us were talking about. If you’re such a lost hedonist you’re asking men you met the same day to give you the bukkake special, you’re fucked in the head and need serious help. Like I said, an ex-wild girl will still be adventurous and exciting, she will just have tamed herself so she’s more discerning (she likes facials in the context of a loving, commited relationship, for example 😅).

With respect, I think we’re all reading our own experiences into this. What you are seeing as a “lost” hedonist, I am seeing as a woman who knows what she likes.
Also, please don’t disrespect hedonism. You know one of my favorite hedonistic pleasures? Eating. Big shocker I know. You know what makes food taste better? Cooking it yourself. You know what also makes it taste better? Sharing it with someone.
My absolute favorite hedonistic joy (I have two, same pleasure level, the other one is making music for a large crowd and everyone feels frisson at the same time) is to cook a large meal for people who need it and dine with them. Better than heroin (please don’t test this), better than sex. For me, at least.
