  Homegrown tomatoes are awesome, especially with a pinch if salt and I say that as someone who grew up as a tomato hater

    Grocery store tomatoes are waxy, bred for shipping, not taste. In Europe, no one would ship a tomato.

      From grocery stores I only buy local tomatoes or cherry tomatoes. The cherry tomatoes are fine for cooking even though they are from morocco so quite a bit away, I am guessing because they are so small and firm they don’t need to harvest too early.
