      They are but getting a normie friend to join a service called Stoat feels like a non-starter. Revolt/Matrix/Element/Signal are more doable.

        I miss when Element was called Riot.IM, also a stupid lawsuit that never happened but they changed the name to avoid a lawsuit anyway.
